'Skinny' Website Calls Kate Upton Fat: So True or So Wrong?

When 20-year-old Kate Upton made her debut on the cover of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue this year, men wanted her and women wanted to look like her. Well, except for the people at a website called Skinny Gossip. The "pro skinny" site has slammed the model for having “huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs." Find out what else the site had to say in the video below!

"Is this what American women are 'striving' for now? The lazy, lardy look? Have we really gotten so fat in this country that Kate is the best we can aim for? Sorry, but: eww! Fashion is supposed to be aspirational—and the kind of people who aspire to look like this shop for clothes at Wal-Mart. She looks like she would work in the back of a motorcycle shop in Nashville and give [a sexual favor] for $25."

Whoa! That's pretty harsh! And a big diss to Wal-Mart! According to Gothamist, Skinny Girl responded to the outrage with the following statement: "As a thin person, I was annoyed by our double-standards around weight. For example, people think nothing of telling a thin woman—to their face, in front of an entire group of people—how skinny they are and even to suggest what they should eat." She also says she's not pro-anorexia, even though she's been posting a "Starving Tip Of The Day" for years. Do you think "Skinny" should shut up? Or is she right about Kate Upton?

Yeah I've noticed how skinny premies can be. My goddaughter is so tiny and she's almost a year. I imagine she'll be little her whole life anyhow since her mom was a small woman. But there's just a difference between unnaturally thin and naturally thin. When I see Twiggy it just doesn't look natural. I do like her big eyes though. Makes her pictures look good no matter what pose.

She may have big fat floppy boobs and next to no waist, but in no way are her thighs huge. She is really, truly skinny. The girls from that site are just bones.

Another thing they say she has is a double chin, which I think is just going way overboard. I see no such second chin.

So yes, I do think "Skinny" should shut up.

She has a good body in my opinion. She's not too big, yet she's not too small. Even if she was big, it's still a pretty harsh thing to say about someone.

Sorry, no where near 'fat'. Perhaps not *toned* or 'well defined', but NOT fat. I don't see much of any form of bump along her abdomen, her arms are slender, her body has visible curve but not a single bump or roll where it shouldn't be.

No, she isn't rail thin, but her doctor would likely put her firmly in the 'very healthy weight' range.

Agreed on both. I was just looking and realizing that top, at the very least, is at least two sizes too small. It covers barely anything, and supports NOTHING.
