When 20-year-old Kate Upton made her debut on the cover of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue this year, men wanted her and women wanted to look like her. Well, except for the people at a website called Skinny Gossip. The "pro skinny" site has slammed the model for having “huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs." Find out what else the site had to say in the video below!
"Is this what American women are 'striving' for now? The lazy, lardy look? Have we really gotten so fat in this country that Kate is the best we can aim for? Sorry, but: eww! Fashion is supposed to be aspirational—and the kind of people who aspire to look like this shop for clothes at Wal-Mart. She looks like she would work in the back of a motorcycle shop in Nashville and give [a sexual favor] for $25."
Whoa! That's pretty harsh! And a big diss to Wal-Mart! According to Gothamist, Skinny Girl responded to the outrage with the following statement: "As a thin person, I was annoyed by our double-standards around weight. For example, people think nothing of telling a thin woman—to their face, in front of an entire group of people—how skinny they are and even to suggest what they should eat." She also says she's not pro-anorexia, even though she's been posting a "Starving Tip Of The Day" for years. Do you think "Skinny" should shut up? Or is she right about Kate Upton?

Not only do I think "Skinny" should STFU, but "Skinny" should GTFO as well.
EDIT: I hope Anderson Cooper calls out Skinny Gossip on his talk show when it's back for a second season. I want to see him go off on this blogger like he went off on Nik Richie, or whatever his name is from The Dirty.
Maybe Kate doesn't have a "perfect" hourglass figure, but so what? She looks dang good. Perhaps the anonymous writer of Skinny Gossip should understand that large breasts aren't a bad thing on women, and they don't defy gravity when they're real. Or that encouraging girls and women to give themselves eating disorders to conform to some idiotic and unhealthy standard of beauty will not make a single one of them, herself included, actually feel good about the way they look. She may be thin, but if all she can do with her life is bash the way other women look and tell people that they aren't good enough if they don't starve themselves, then maybe she should take a good look at herself and reevaluate her life. Maybe she could actually do something worthwhile with it.
That was until I read some of the other articles on the site. In her other articles, she calls out any woman who could be at all considered plus-size as being fat. She mocks and ridicules women who are confident with their bodies if they are not thin by her definition. She compares average and even less than average weight women to cows and whales. Even plus-sized models (who are still thinner and more fit than the average woman) she calls fat, even going so far as to say that the model will probably break the heels she's wearing in a photo, due to her "massive" size.

I have concluded that she did not expect the backlash from her articles to hit her to heavily, and whipped up a nicely worded article playing the victim of a simple misrepresentation and misunderstanding. Even if she doesn't explicitly state that she is pro-anorexia, calling women cows and whales isn't going to help their self-esteem. She IS encouraging women to lose weight consistently, both directly and indirectly through her degrading words about models and celebrities, who are never thin enough and mocked for gaining any weight at all. This is a recipe for causing anorexia and other eating disorders. She makes women who aren't her standard of skinny feel FAT and want to lose weight and keep losing it. They'll never feel skinny enough. They'll never feel like they can stop losing weight. That's what anorexia is.
death threats seem to be taking things a bit far, though.
The only difference between this girl and Kate is that Kate doesn't look like she's 12.
it cant be true
if it is , it's about as twisted as all jews are trying to destroy the world, black people are not as million times as or more awesome than white people , the red white and blue isn't really red white and blue and flying pigs must be real and they soon will eat all the birds in the world and form a human attackin' cult
Am I coming off clear here?
good day
I don't like her boobs either, but it's normal at that size
EDIT : I've read the blog a bit : they are crazy, it's not healthy. If they would like to look like fit model,I would see the point, but they want anorexic bodies
And the people who clicked "true" are either trolling, shallow, or just clicked on the wrong option. Fact.
