'Skinny' Website Calls Kate Upton Fat: So True or So Wrong?

When 20-year-old Kate Upton made her debut on the cover of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue this year, men wanted her and women wanted to look like her. Well, except for the people at a website called Skinny Gossip. The "pro skinny" site has slammed the model for having “huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs." Find out what else the site had to say in the video below!

"Is this what American women are 'striving' for now? The lazy, lardy look? Have we really gotten so fat in this country that Kate is the best we can aim for? Sorry, but: eww! Fashion is supposed to be aspirational—and the kind of people who aspire to look like this shop for clothes at Wal-Mart. She looks like she would work in the back of a motorcycle shop in Nashville and give [a sexual favor] for $25."

Whoa! That's pretty harsh! And a big diss to Wal-Mart! According to Gothamist, Skinny Girl responded to the outrage with the following statement: "As a thin person, I was annoyed by our double-standards around weight. For example, people think nothing of telling a thin woman—to their face, in front of an entire group of people—how skinny they are and even to suggest what they should eat." She also says she's not pro-anorexia, even though she's been posting a "Starving Tip Of The Day" for years. Do you think "Skinny" should shut up? Or is she right about Kate Upton?

For me the issue is not her being slim or fat. She lacks firmness; look at the boobs and the belly. And shape; she seems to have too much flesh, or fat, at the waist, not NO waist.

I'm thinking "Adult" is a relative term in this case... Kate Upton (whoever she is) is beautiful. So she doesn't have the classic hourglass - big whoop. She's hot. The end.

First of all, I think she has a GORGEOUS body. Second, I can assure you the girl who wrote that wasn't really anorexic. I had anorexia, ad trust me, the only body i ever bashed was my own.

I think I'm an "avg joe" and I dislike "boney" women and love those healthy curves... no idea why this website said this---they obviously are out of touch with reality and think all men want anorexic sickly looking runway model women....not me... shes puuurfect.

Either anorexic or the idiot writers must think like Rex - that Starla is the meaning of "sexy"

I feel sorry for Kate. She has probably heard the rude comments about herself. How awful. She is a lovely girl and she got a wonderful break as a model. Not easy to get that gig! Skinny Gossip had some points in her blog post about how since our culture is getting fatter and fatter, people are trying to make it cool to be fat and tell the skinnies to eat.. but she should not insult innocent people like lovely Kate.
