'Skinny' Website Calls Kate Upton Fat: So True or So Wrong?

When 20-year-old Kate Upton made her debut on the cover of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue this year, men wanted her and women wanted to look like her. Well, except for the people at a website called Skinny Gossip. The "pro skinny" site has slammed the model for having “huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs." Find out what else the site had to say in the video below!

"Is this what American women are 'striving' for now? The lazy, lardy look? Have we really gotten so fat in this country that Kate is the best we can aim for? Sorry, but: eww! Fashion is supposed to be aspirational—and the kind of people who aspire to look like this shop for clothes at Wal-Mart. She looks like she would work in the back of a motorcycle shop in Nashville and give [a sexual favor] for $25."

Whoa! That's pretty harsh! And a big diss to Wal-Mart! According to Gothamist, Skinny Girl responded to the outrage with the following statement: "As a thin person, I was annoyed by our double-standards around weight. For example, people think nothing of telling a thin woman—to their face, in front of an entire group of people—how skinny they are and even to suggest what they should eat." She also says she's not pro-anorexia, even though she's been posting a "Starving Tip Of The Day" for years. Do you think "Skinny" should shut up? Or is she right about Kate Upton?

It's not accurate to say she's fat, but she's not "perfectly skinny" either. Not her fault she has no waist...that's genetic....and she doesn't have "huge" thighs...they're not tiny but they look fine. If everyone was her weight, I'd have no complaints at all. Since tons of people are obese, this lady shouldn't be ragging on Kate....

She has curves! Beautiful gorgeous curves! Any man and me would drool over her (and are anyway) if we saw her in person! I mean, jealous much? Skinny girls have honestly NEVER been gorgeous to me. They have no figure, you can see their ribs, and a lot of clothes hang loose on them in all the wrong places. Not saying you shouldn't be skinny if it makes you happy, but honestly DON'T hate on someone who honestly just has a better body than you. I have curves and I absolutely love it, I never understood the big deal about being skinny and with a small a-cup boob.

She doesn't really have curves >.> She's *almost* straight up and down. She goes in a little at the waist, but really not much of a waist :P

It doesn't really show in that picture, but if you look down someone else posted a picture of her and it showed off her curves and gave her a nice figure. She's also just gorgeous in general.

I'm all for being skinny, but the website skinny gossip is weird. They all list their weights, and they're all around 5' 8" and at 112lbs. They also discuss how obese they are. Kate Upton has some chub, but she's hardly fat.
