Now that we've come to know and love the original "Glee" cast, creator Ryan Murphy says we must bid adieu to familiar faces like
Lea Michele and
Chris Colfer to make room for a new class of quirky "high school" entertainers.
Murphy told Ryan Seacrest, "The thing that I wanted to do and the cast wanted to do, we didn't want to have a show where they were in high school for eight years. We really wanted it to be true to that experience. We thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline."
That means Michele, Colfer and
Dianna Agron are nearing the end of their enormously successful run, and both the actors and the show will have to go it alone.
But Murphy assures us that at least two big names will be staying.
"We've got Matt Morrison and
Jane Lynch who will stay and be the male and female linchpins of the series," Murphy explained.
He added, "But I think the fun thing about the show is it's a celebration of youth and talent," Murphy says. "I think that just like with the original cast, I think finding those young unknown people and giving them an opportunity to break into the business and become stars is a really fun and exciting thing and is the spirit of the series."
I should watch the show shouldn't I? All my friends tell me its awesome.
The WARBLERS ARE AWESOME ...I wish they would focus more on them....
it got to grown up to fast turn over the cast opens alot of doors and directions and storylines for this program to develop.
