I'm not as fatalistic as some, but there were flaws with this series and notably the last film. First off, Batman isn't freaking Batman. Batman is driven by the death of his parents, not his pining puppy love for a grade school crush. Second, Batmans mission isn't over. This film ends correctly in one of two ways. Either Batman saves the day and returns full time to his mission realizing that he can't let it go or his obsession kills him. Batman doesn't fake his death and retire to Italy.
And don't get me started on "Robin".
I haven't seen it yet but I don't think that what some nut case does during a showing of it affects it's quality.
