Whitney Houston hasn't even been gone from this earth for a month, and there are already rumors of a biopic in the works. To be fair, this project was in the works before Houston passed away, but now there are names attached to it, and they might not be the names a critical public wants to hear. The Daily Mail claims Rihanna is the top pick at this point, with Jennifer Hudson right behind her. Vivica A. Fox and Jordin Sparks have also been mentioned.

Rihanna was courted for a similar role last year, when movie execs considered using her for a remake of Houston's "The Bodyguard." She turned it down, saying, "I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time, because you can never look at them as anybody else. I want to play a character. My whole life is playing Rihanna; being a singer won't be a stretch for me." Hm, we wonder how she would feel about playing Whitney though. Do you think Rihanna should play Whitney Houston in the upcoming biopic?

NO./ Absolutely not. Can you say Rihanna and auto-tune? There is no way in hell that vocally she can even come close to Whitney Houston. I'd go for Jennifer Hudson. Why? Because she can actually sing and has amazing vocals, as opposed to Rihanna and the pumped up background music and the auto-tune, not the mention her skanky behavior on stage. Say what you will about Whitney Houston towards the end of her life, but she had CLASS on stage. Rihanna never will.

Nobody could play Whitney Houston better than Jennifer Hudson. Her passion and love for Whitney was evident at the Grammy's. That is the only one who should even be CONSIDERED to play Whitney Houston!

I just think that they should let the dead rests, stop disturbing a sacred time period. I feel like this is michael jackson all over again but worse because they want to make a movie already. I mean that's all fine and dandy but wait at least a year or so, so that people are a less likely to be outraged by the rudeness. And when and if they do decide to make the movie after a year or so, either pick Beyonce or Jennifer Hudson, or someone that would appreciate the Whitney Houston moments and find the movie to be a big leap in their career and to showcase all of the moments that Whitney made a big impact for the better and not only all the drama about being a drug addict.

Only if she agrees never to see Chris Brown again. Whitney's destructive relationship with Bobby Brown was very painful to watch. I do not want to see a similar relationship repeated by anybody! I would prefer to see Jennifer Hudson play Whitney, but Rihanna can do a good job!
