Boxing controversy? No! Really!? Shocker! Boxing fans need a knockout or they will argue about its outcome. And some would still argue about the outcome or legitimacy of the fight even with one boxer knocked unconscious. The LA Times discusses the pro/con of whether to launch a formal investigation into the outcome of the Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley championship boxing match.

Writers from around the Tribune Co.will discuss Timothy Bradley's controversial split decision victory over Manny Pacquiao in the WBO welterweight title fight Saturday night.
The best case that promoter Bob Arum makes in seeking answers regarding the judging of Duane Ford and C.J. Ross is that the same type of officiating accountability exists in major sports.
Nevada should feel embarrassed that veteran judge Ford not only joined Ross in giving Bradley a 115-113 edge, but told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Bradley gave Pacquiao “a boxing lesson.”
Launching an official review is the best way to hammer home the point to the masses who dispute the scoring: Judges, that’s unacceptable.

The Nevada state athletic commission should investigate. The Feds have much more important things to do than judging boxing matches.
he was WAY out in the lead! But to have ALL THREE of these people call it --not only close-- but for Bradley...!
It's like science fiction. What the heck were they watching? It's literally unbelievable.
The main lesson that Bradley taught Manny is that Manny should aim for the KO, and nothing less.
My impression, based on seeing several outrageous decisions & the whole alphabet soup mess, is that there's just no reason to watch it anymore.
Bring it back to something like 8-10 weight divisions and 1 champ per division and I might consider following again. Well, okay, I'd also want to see Judges who make outrageous decisions sanctioned.
