Lindsay Lohan is having a terrible week, thanks to poor reviews of "Liz and Dick" and -- more seriously -- criminal charges. But what will the repercussions be?LiLo could go down for as much as 237 days behind bars for alleged assault against another woman in a Manhattan club, as well as offenses related to a traffic incident earlier in the year.

Perez Hilton says that sources claim she will “throw herself to the judge with the promise of a six-month rehab.” However, another source has said that "Because of jail overcrowding in Los Angeles though she would only serve 25 percent of that time. The City Attorney will ask the judge to max Lindsay out and send her to jail."

Perez Hilton believes that rehab would be a smarter option, despite its limited success for Lindsay in the past. He says that “jail is punishment, but will she really be a changed woman once she leaves?? Or will the cold bars just make her harder?” What do you think? Should Lindsay Lohan go to prison, rehab -- or neither?

Send her to Jail.. and for a long time.. and a real jail not some prissy Hollywood jail. She has had chance after chance and she blows it every time. She does not want to be clean.. she wants attention. Sick of hearing about her.. She is talented, but she has wasted that talent and she has wasted our patience. Done with her.. Put her away.. maybe she will learn, but I doubt it!

Why isn't she in jail already? I am so sick of hearing about Lindsey Lohan. Rehab obviously didn't work. However, I did watch Liz & Dick and thought if it had just been any other movie other than the lifes of Liz & Dick it wouldn't have been so bad.

If we (the unwashed masses... well, washed but not wealthy or famous for play acting on TV or Film) were arrested for the same crap (alleged) STARS were arrested for... they'd burn the key after locking us away!

She should go to jail & be treated just like any other prisoner no special benefits, no hairdresser coming into do hewr hair, no special diet, no preferential treatment of any kind. Then she might wake up to the reality of what her booze problems have caused. Personallly I'm tired of seeing these movie stars being treated w/ kid gloves all the time.

Jail, and she should have been put in jail a long time ago. People are in jail and prisons, for doing a lot less than Lohan has done. It appears that L.A. courts treat celebs a lot different than common folks. This is not right, because the law applies to all equally, and should be administered equally, regardless of the persons status. Sometimes it takes a little time in jail to give a person a wake up call, and makes them determined to turn over a new leaf in their lives. Jail could actually change her downward trend in life. Right now she probably thinks that she can get away with about anything, and flaunts her disdain for the law. Jail will give her some time to think over her course in life.

Lindsey has had ample oppertunity to make something of herself in rehab and has flopped
every solitary time. She needs to do some time in the hoosegow and have some sense
scared into her. And both of those pinheaded parents of hers should be locked up in the
slammer and have to do some time as well. They're partly to blame for Lindsey being as
corrupted as she is. They're both corrupt as well.

Not enough info. It says she assaulted a woman in a club. Did she start the fight or was she defending herself from a jealous woman and nobody noticed anything until then? And what 'offenses' did she commit at the traffic accident? Why is rehab an option, was she drunk or stoned during these incidences? Is alcoholism the reason she's going to bars and having traffic accidents? If so then she needs both- go to rehab in jail.

She has not hit bottom YET and Rehab is obviously a joke to her so the last option for her to get it would be jail...no a few hours, days, weeks. She need a reality check and should be treated like 99.999999999% of the population. It should be a minimum of 2-3 years.

She hasn't stayed in jail for that long. Most of the time she is let free without serving her sentence. Rehab or Jail, just keep her in it for her full sentence.
