Should Justin Bieber Be Arrested for Speeding?

Should the Biebs be behind bars? One Los Angeles politician thinks so. Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine says Justin Bieber should be arrested for speeding on an L.A. freeway last Friday. “As I watched, I was anticipating a crash,” Zine told ABC News of Bieber's driving. “It was chaos. Total willful disregard for people on the roadway.”

Zine says the teen heartthrob reached speeds exceeding 100 mph, weaving in and out of traffic. However, the Biebs may have a good excuse: He says he was being chased by aggressive paparazzi, and he even filed a complaint against one photographer, TMZ reported. Zine doesn't appear to see Bieber as the victim here. He called 911, and Bieber received a ticket for driving more than 65 miles per hour. Should cops throw Bieber in the slammer? Or was he just avoiding a Princess Diana-like fate?

Well if he was chased by photographer then he should've call 911 before speeding, however stepped on the gas throughout on the highway, caused panic and wounded someone else on the way then he is an innocent. I would say "heck no, give him some lessons, he shouldn't be afraid of photographer". What would photographer do to you, Biebs, take a picture of your soul?

Get thrown in jail for speeding? Most speed on the 101 just to keep up with the traffic. Going 80mph is quite common for many. CHP clocked Justin at 80 mph and he got a ticket for going 15mph over the speed limit. Zine, the politican, wants Bieber to go to jail because he says he was going 100 and wreckless. So who decides., CHP or Zine's claim. Speeding on the 101 and you should be arressted? I guess many should have been arrested that day and every day. I think sworn testimony is needed by others, not just by Zine, to find out exactly what was going on.

Oh really? Here that doesn't happen, you just get a fine and might have your license temporarily suspended if they believe it'd happen again. But no prison time for speeding exists.

Noone should be behind bars for speeding. Serious? Lets leave prison for the actual criminals.... killers, rapists, etc. We have other forms of punishment besides locking people up that doesnt involve wasting more of our tax dollars.

Do they throw people in the slammer for speeding (no drugs/alcohol/weapons/accident involved) now? No. As long as you don't talk back to the cop they pretty much give you a pricey ticket, warn on safety and that's it. Now if anything else was involved as stated above, then yes. If he did this multiple times, then in court the judge could make him do community and pay more fines. But jail time...ain't gonna happen.

WHAT THE HELL? NO! I'm not crazy for Justin, but I know there is no way he should be put in jail for defending himself. All you people want him in jail because you hate him. And I don't get why the world hates him so much.

Because he's annoying, dumbed down an already failing arts world, and has placed an extremly false image into the eyes of our youth about rising up and being fameous. And in all reality, I think a little jail time would help him out-- make him realize he isn't above the law.

Only if that is the norm, however it is not.

He will have to pay a fine, and he faces a judge, he could lose his license for 30 days.

Chances are, he'll have an attorney (since he can afford it) to handle a speeding ticket.

And councilman zane is not that important to demand anyone go to jail.
