Should the Biebs be behind bars? One Los Angeles politician thinks so. Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine says Justin Bieber should be arrested for speeding on an L.A. freeway last Friday. “As I watched, I was anticipating a crash,” Zine told ABC News of Bieber's driving. “It was chaos. Total willful disregard for people on the roadway.”

Zine says the teen heartthrob reached speeds exceeding 100 mph, weaving in and out of traffic. However, the Biebs may have a good excuse: He says he was being chased by aggressive paparazzi, and he even filed a complaint against one photographer, TMZ reported. Zine doesn't appear to see Bieber as the victim here. He called 911, and Bieber received a ticket for driving more than 65 miles per hour. Should cops throw Bieber in the slammer? Or was he just avoiding a Princess Diana-like fate?

I get why he shouldn't do that but look did he know it was paparazzi following him most likey not. Plus who in the right mind will follow a eightteen years old. I wouldn't even follower him a I'm a fan. I wouldn't follow him and yes it did turn in to a news story because the paparazzi made it a news story. If it wasn't for the paparazzi being around his car. I do not think we would of heard of this story until the CHP reach a agreement. on what to do. They had no choice hear they had to charge the paparazzo if they didn't they would of been said the chase never happen and the speeding never happen. Look He admitted speeding and that paparazzi guy's do not have the balls to admit he was chasing bieber. Who the more grow up and No You always do not get arrested for reckless driving. I think the paparazzi are more to blame for this incendent then any other person here all of the I witness confermed he was being chase by the paparazzi. Their a another little with other paparazzo the the DA has let to make a decison on I think of him fighting with a photo taker outside a mall so he may still get charge with that.

I am FAR from being a Bieber fan, but no, he shouldn't go to jail. I've seen people going in excess of 90 mph on the freeway get off with points and fines. He shouldn't be treated any differently because he's a celebrity, even if he is an obnoxious one.

He was speeding. He should be given whatever penalty Joe Ordinary Citizen would get. As for the vampirazzi following him, there should be a law similar to the don't call laws for telemarketers. A star should be able to put their name on a don't approach me list (or something) so they have to stay away. Photos with a humongous telephoto lens are another matter.

Hey people look it depend on the officer if he's a rookie most likey you are going to get arrested because he has to look good for his boss. if it a old police officer He most likey will let you off with a warning or at less a ticket. I have been lucky to get both but havn't been arrested for speeding and I got pick up twice by the same police officer. He said," I have to much paper work to do so I am going to let you off again." I even didn't get a ticket for speeding and I admited it this time." He was like a rookie but he got yell at when he arrested a guy for speeding 5mph over. hear you can go 5mph over the speed limts now. al thought now the speed limts is 75 in rurals areas and in city 65 is the max speed limts that in iowa. All thought it has cut down in traffic acciendent. and less death on the road way. It's also do to traffic stings. like speeding seatbelt use and stuff like that.

There is no excuse for driving thirty-five miles over the speed limit, he was endangering himself and anyone else around him. The only reason why he's most likely just going to get a slap on the wrist is because he's so wildly popular with the pre-teen and teen female species and frankly I am pissed at that fact. No matter if your a noble or a peasant you still have to face the consequences.

No he shouldn't be arrested. He shouldn't have gotten a ticket either. The paparazzi on the other hand should have been arrested for harrassment, endangering the public, reckless driving and stalking. The police officer even let the paparazzi stay and take pictures and continue their harrassing behavior while he was ticketing the musician. It's totally absurd, all that dumbass cop did was reward the paparazzi for their dangerous behavior by giving them a great photo op. Celebrities are people like everybody else and they do not deserve to be treated as if they are subhuman. All the money in the world will not prevent even the most patient among us from snapping after enduring that type of harrassment day in and day out. People who say otherwise are simply jealous and under the same circumstances would behave the same way or even worse. As for the "paps" themselves, the lawmakers need to address these dangerous individuals and make their crimes ILLEGAL and they need to do so BEFORE innocent people get injured or killed!

Not only should he be arrested but he should lose his license like everyone else nothin gives anyone the right to put lives on the line paparazzi may be a problem but
1. Thats what the police are there for
2. If his security team were up to scratch they would have a way of avoiding things like that (I know I would)
And finally
3. No one would have a problem if a farmer got arrested whilst doing over 100mph whilst trying to get his favorite pig to the hospital. Rules are put in place for a reason and when idiots like him ignore them for there own selfish reasons it sends a message to his fans and young children that if your famous and have the right excuse you can do anything you want.
