Should Justin Bieber Be Arrested for Speeding?

Should the Biebs be behind bars? One Los Angeles politician thinks so. Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine says Justin Bieber should be arrested for speeding on an L.A. freeway last Friday. “As I watched, I was anticipating a crash,” Zine told ABC News of Bieber's driving. “It was chaos. Total willful disregard for people on the roadway.”

Zine says the teen heartthrob reached speeds exceeding 100 mph, weaving in and out of traffic. However, the Biebs may have a good excuse: He says he was being chased by aggressive paparazzi, and he even filed a complaint against one photographer, TMZ reported. Zine doesn't appear to see Bieber as the victim here. He called 911, and Bieber received a ticket for driving more than 65 miles per hour. Should cops throw Bieber in the slammer? Or was he just avoiding a Princess Diana-like fate?

He could have killed himself and others. His total lack of consideration for the life of other human beings is shameful. He has a lot of growing up to do.

Don't most people just get a ticket for speeding? If he had hit someone, them by all means, arrest him. But he didn't, so why would you arrest him?

That doesn't excuse speeding. Yes it is his fault. No one rammed his car from behind and forced it to accelerate to over 100 MPH.

You must always have Self Control... you should never allow other people to control your actions, that only leads to disastrous results because you are allowing others to control you. In order to remain in control, you always remain calm, thoughtful and considerate of not only yourself, but others.

There will always be external influences that nudge you to do what it wants... maybe they wanted Justin to crash, like they've nudged Lindsey Lohan to do, but if you're firm in yourself, you are the master of your own life and with that comes the knowing that everything you do, is your own decision. He could have chose to remain calm and not to speed... but instead the anger within him got the best of him... and his actions were his own mistake. He could have remained calm and obeyed the law, regardless of external influences.

Oh, ok since you're not 9 you must be VERY immature. Not that I'm a fan of him, but you need to be mature enough to know that he's an actual person and you've never met him, so you don't know who he actually is. What if you saw someone write this about you even though they've never met the real you? Though you probably just "hate" him because either it's considered stupid to like his music, and "cool" to dislike it, or you don't like his music and so all of a sudden you "hate" him. Please mature fast.

That little ass has no regards for anyone else but himself. It's not fair to everyone else around him. If he hit my car I'd sue his little ass off. If he wants to get rid of the paps tell them to f*** off and ignore.

You can't arrest someone for doing something "normal" people aren't' arrested for. You can't give someone preferential treatment. Everyday people would be fined and have a court date, just like with other driving infractions.

Speeding and weaving in and out of traffic is reckless driving. Celebrity status does not give anyone the excuse to break the law.

ANYBODY ELSE WOULD HAVE BEEN SO WHY NOT HIM ? IT ALSO SEEMS HE WAS CLOSER TO CAUSING A WRECK THEN TRYING TO AVOID IT ! CALIFORNIA HAS LAWS AGAINST EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE PAPARAZZI AND WOULD HAVE DEALT WITH IT.

I believe ANYONE disregarding others safety while driveing should be arrested. There is NO reason for someone to drive wrecklessly. He chose his profession, therefore he should exept the job description. Unfortunately part of that is being hunted by the pap. Innocent people do NOT OWE THEIR SAFTEY TO CELEBRITIES, simply because they CAN'T handle the pressure!!! GET HIM OFF OUR STREETS before our children, family members or friends end up paying for his inability to do THE JOB HE CHOSE TO DO.

100 mph is not an excuse for running away from butt holes with cameras. He is an idiot and could have caused a pile up and deaths. That is reckless driving and if you or I did that we would have been arrested, our car towed and to the slammer we would have gone with a little cop beating on the side for being stupid. It is up to the officer but you can be arrested for reckless driving with speeds exceeding 90mph. Driving over 100mph is considered reckless driving..
