We recently told you that Jennifer Lopez was named Forbes' No. 1 overall celebrity, even though she was on the brink of irrelevance just a few years before. "American Idol" was a big part of that turn around. But sources say she might be quitting because she's "too busy."

There are a few theories about what the rumors could mean. The most likely possibility is her upcoming world tour with Enrique Iglesias, which does seem to coincide with the filming of "American Idol." However, Reality Rocks suggests she might be shooting for an even tastier contract. Another likely factor is her 4-year-old twins. We hear kids sometimes need attention. What do you think? Should Jennifer Lopez quit the show to focus on other obligations? Or should she stick with it?

The problem with American Idol it is more about the judges than the contestants.The judges should not have a "save".If america votes off a contestant,the judges should not have the power to bring the contestant back.

I agree with you, there. They brought back Jessica and have talked her up so much, when she's really not all that great. Joshua was 10 times better. I can't believe the American public voted for Jessica over Joshua, I just can not believe it.

I think she neds to show a little more gratitude to AI. She was going down fast and needed to reboot her image and AI gave her that chance. What does she need more time to make Gigli 2 :)?

Just offer her enough money (and plenty of it) and she'll stay. Isn't she getting 20 million now. Then offer her 30. She is not much of a judge - but she livens up the show - particularly when she is afflicted with her "goosies" .

Who really cares?
Who really cares about shows like this? They are infantile and probably among the most idiotic programming TV has ever produced.
Television has become one huge phony/scripted reality garbage pit.
Where are the stories? Where are the characters?
Programs like Idol are as phony as three dollar bills.
Get them off and bring back some actually entertaining and gripping TV.

She should quit something, and devote lots of time to her 4 yr old twins. That's an important development stage in a child's life. She has plenty of money. Bettering yourself is really not making more and more money, especially if you already have plenty. Helping two children when they need you to give them guidance about having the right values, getting along wit people, etc, is really bettering yourself as well as them.

Lets assume for the sake of an argument that next year, 2013, American Idol decided to bring new people as judges and they get: Jesus, Gandhi Mahal, Mohammad, Buddha and why not, they add mother Teresa of Calcutta, the haters will still have a problem with them, they will always find some thing hateful to say or write about them. My point, you can not please 100 % to everybody. Jennifer Lopez is a humbly human being, who happens to be born beautiful, talented and smart and she is a great addition to American Idol. I hope she stays with the show.

I think this is the best season of Idol yet. I thought all of the 12 finalists were outstanding, with the exception of that chubby little redhead who could only sing twangy country songs and bounced up and down like a kangaroo in heat.

I think that all three should quit! Their job has changed from judges to cheering section they need to butt out and let the folks at home make up their own minds it has gotten to the point that talent has very little to do with who ends up in the finals! When Simon left quality and honesty went out the window!

Hi Marie! They had some pretty fair talent but honestly I think they raved the worst and sent the best packing the only good part about it is that they will still be ob tour and will get real good exposure out of it even if they didn't win!
