At first, Tupac Shakur's hologram performance seemed a little bit eerie. Then it was kind of awesome... in a weird "Star Wars" sort of way. Now, as the full implications of the event become evident, it's getting weird again. According to the Wall Street Journal, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre actually want to take the rapping hologram on tour with them.
Well, on the bright side, Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, is cool with it. TMZ reports that Afeni was "absolutely positively thrilled" with the Coachella performance. She didn't attend the show, but watched it stream live on the Internet. She had given Dre permission to use the hologram before-hand, and in return made a donation to The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation. We definitely think Hologram Tupac is an awesome element once in a while -- but will the idea go overboard if he actually becomes part of a living, breathing musical tour?

I must say, it's a pretty sad state of affairs when music festivals in general, and Coachella in particular, get more hype over a hologram performance of a dead artist than for the live acts at the concert.
Since leaving the Revolution, Afeni Shakur became a smart, feminist, business-savvy, strong philanthropist who has used Tupac's legacy to help others. She's also tough as nails. In 2007, she filed a lawsuit against Suge Knight and Death Row Records [yikes] to stop them from selling any of Tupac's unreleased material, and she won the case. That ladyhas some major league balls! All proceeds from the sale of Tupac's music and her clothing line go to the charity she set up in her son's name. THUG LIFE!
I could not care less!
if your going to talk about him, know a little more about his life.
