Should Ellen be allowed to place her adopted dog with her choice of owner contrary to the "Mutts and Moms" policies?

Ellen DeGeneres recently adopted a dog from "Mutts and Moms" named Iggy. After paying her dues and caring for her dogs, she simply could not get Iggy and her cats to get along, so her hairdresser's family offered to take the pup off of her hands.
Ellen sent Iggy to a new, loving home where the two girls living there fell in love with the dog.
When "Mutts and Moms" called to check up on Iggy, Ellen reported that he was in a loving home. The very next day, a representative showed up to Iggy's new home with a police escort to take the dog away, due to a contract violation with Ellen and the organization.
Ellen admits to not having been aware of the clause that she signed which states that if she was unable to provide a home for Iggy, that he must be returned to the organization.
Should the dog be returned, or should policy be enforced and Iggy be retained at the organization until a new home is found for him?

dale 2007/10/16 22:01:29Undecided+66wrong process yes wrong act no. That happens all the time and these orgs dont take away the animal. She made a huge investment in the dog. If they were really concern they should have simply requested an interview with the new family. pompus asses no concern for the dog or the people.

Just kidding! I love dogs. They should just do whatever's best for the dog.
That's the second time I agree with you;
I'm starting to get worried!
well she DID provide a good home for the dog. It wasn't hers but it was still a good home for the dog and she provided it.
it's all about the wording of the phrase. I'm not usually one to consider using loopholes unless the rule is ridiculous.
well this is one of those ridiculous rules and the phrasing is the loophole.
Ellen: one
Mutt's and Moms: zero
It sounds like Ellen made sure the puppy was given a good home. What about these little girls, that have fallen in love with this puppy?
Why couldn't the mutts and moms, see how the puppy is wiht it's new home and go from there, if there so concerned about the puppy being mistreated.
