Should Dakota Fanning Ditch Acting for Modeling?

IMG Models, one of the top modeling agencies in the world, recently put 16-year-old actress Dakota Fanning into their active lineup, which means the young actress might be kicking her fashion career into high gear sometime soon.

According to the Huffington Post, the "Twilight" actress signed with IMG two years ago, at the age of 14, which is how she ended up on the cover of Teen Vogue in September of last year. However, she wasn't featured on IMG's website as a full-fledged member until this week.

Nylon also reports that Fanning showed up to a Miu Miu fashion show this year, so their money is on a deal with Miu Miu or Prada.

In other IMG news, teen troublemaker Taylor Momsen was recently dropped from the agency. No official word on why she was dropped, but it might be for the same reasons her "Gossip Girl" character was put on hiatus.

IMG has been the home of some of the world's best-known models, including Kate Moss, Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum.

ultimatly its up to her but I think she amazing as an actress she was brilliant in the secregt life of bees and I watched her with a child I think shes an amazing role model as she like many others grew up as a child star but she unlike a lot of the others as so far mancged to stay on the right path. theres no reason she cant do both

Dakota fanning should always stay in acting because in twilight I'm not a super fan I watched the movies but she is a toltal badass in all of the twilight movies in cat in the hat she was a smartass but still cool she needs to stay in acting.

It is very possible that she could do both, as a young child she was so good in her performances. I've been told that women multi task well, so exercising more than one talent probably wouldn't be a problem for Dakota.

Acting is a much more rewarding job imho. I don't know why she would want to be a model. You get to travel and have nice pictures to show for when you are old but other than that, it's not a profession I think highly of honestly.

Dakota is a real actor who happens to have started out as a youngster. She's growing into a lovely young woman who will go on (My prediction) to win multiple awards including at least one Oscar. I see no reason she couldn't do both modeling and acting. But, Dakota, if you're listening, lean more toward the acting. I'd like to see you win that Oscar, okay?
