Should Constantine Maroulis go to jail for murdering "Unchained Melody" tonight, on American Idol?

Yes, and throw away the key.
No, Come on, Wildcat it wasn't that bad.
No, he did a good job, I don't know why you're griping.
You!

I'm not sure it was criminal, but it was bad.

It is very difficult to cover a song that it so ingrained in our consciousness and so associated with a specific singer (in this case, The Righteous Brothers). Because of that, I have no problem with people taking the classics and trying making them "their own" - as long as it's done well. That rendition of Unchained Melody was unrecognizable and, unfortunately, not well executed live. Thank you for posting Clay Aiken's version - it remains true to the original with a few unexpected spins.

I didn't like Constantine's version at all. Clay's version that was posted in the comments was really good. Guess they picked the wrong idol graduate to sing UM last night.

That was the worst version I've heard of this song. I agree with Sam, they should have had Clay Aiken sing his new version. Now that's powerful.
