It is so bad in fact cause while they're playing, they're learning how to do it in real life.So by using it often, they became aggressive and also abuser. So better to warn children not to do that!

I have to say, honestly, yes they should be allowed to play violent video games. I played them growing up as a kid, and I was probably the most nonviolent kid in school.

We should not have new laws, but good parents would limit their child's exposure to this type of thing.

Well it depends on the age of the child or the level of maturity in the game, is it too bloody/gory, or has explicit language.Games like Super smash Bros. and maybe some fighting games that aren't bloody or anything like that, now COD and MW3, and GTA are out of the question.

When I was a wee lad I used to play the hell out of this game called Blood. You could blow the heads off zombies with a shotgun then proceed to kick it around like a soccer ball, blood streaming behind it. At least, until you got bored and smashed the head into mush.

Now I'm a fully-functioning, productive member of society. *twitch*

DEpends on what u consider a child. And what type of games? i personally believe that its fine if a 10+ year old is playing skyrim, halo,Modern Warfare, ect.but i think that SOME games should be left to older kids.

Why not? people always say "Games are so violent" yeah so are books, can anyone say Hunger Games? Violent media doesn't just turn someone violent its usually accompanied by many other mental issues.

Depends upon why the violence occurs. If it's realistic like Grand theft auto or Man-hunt, then no. If it's Resident evil or Mortal kombat than sure. The more fantasy like it is, the better.

But it depends on the game in specific, theres game ratings for a reason. Along with age, and what you specifically thing what a "child" is in terms of age.

Kids should play violent games because if they want to play something violent instead of playing with little kid games. kids want to play like what manhood can be like by playing mature games.or if a kid gets scared playing games it is there own fault.im only 12 and i know how that is and i try to make the right decisons what i play. that is why kids should play violent games even if they are afraid of it.or young.Sometimes it can be right for them to play these games so they can grow up into manhood and im even going to do that to now what it feels like and i feel normal and i have a big imagination by playing games. And sometimes i go outside and use my imageination and play all the time outside. alot of kid at my school even do that. that is why kids should play violent games

That being said, I really think it depends on the child, if you think your child could handle violent video games, and if the child already has a violent personality or has a mental illness that could be triggered by violence.

I have no problem with it. It's nice for kids to blow off steam. HOWEVER, make for sure that they know to keep what you do in the game IN the game and not to imitate. Make sure they know that you don't set video game people as role models and that they should never EVER break the law.

Depends on what you mean by a violent game. honestly i think theres nothing wrong with a kid playing some violent games like fighting games or some shooting games to blow off steam, but if it is like God of War or Dead Space, its probably best to shelf them till later.

Parents need to start raising their children. Too many kids are handed inappropriate games. They don't need their minds polluted with violence.

Its not real and if your kids can't distinguish reality from fiction then you suck as a parent.

I do not believe in the studies of violent movies and games affecting youth control groups in negative ways are telling the truth. Violence and the will to act on it is a personality issue, a person either is or isn't unless made to be because they where subjected to violence first hand. I believ these are "suggestive sale" studies that say something halfway believable and bank it of safe to says and told you so's to sell the conclusion they wanted you to come to. I have been in only a few fights as far as having no choice in the matter and was subjected to just about wvery media outlet, violent or not, since the late 80's. My friends as well, and not violent. Many tell me the same.
