OK, so Rihanna would be a terrible choice for a Whitney Houston biopic. Fair enough. It might sound like an odd proposition, but what about Houston's own daughter, Bobbi Kristina? According to TMZ, she actually wants to play the part. Of course, Bobbi has yet to make a name for herself as a singer or an actor, but last month she told Oprah that she'd like to carry on her mother's legacy, and what better way to start?

TMZ claims that Bobbi is telling her friends she's the "only one person" who can play her mother because no one knew her as well as she did, and compared the situation to the late rapper Easy E, who might be played by his son in an upcoming N.W.A biopic. However, the relative proximity to Houston's death could make this more of an emotional roller coaster. Maybe she could just play a young Houston. Do you think Bobbi Kristina should play her own mother, Ms. Whitney Houston?

I understand Bobbi wanting to play her mother. But I agree with Ava-as awful as this may sound, Bobbi doesn't look at all, at least in photo's, like Whitney. I see more of her father (unfortunately) in her. I'm old enough to have a grown dghtr who "loved" Bobby Brown when his career started (My Prerogative) & Bobbi Christina looks alot like he looked back then. Sorry Bobbi.

Some time should pass and they will have to do a talent search to find an unknown. It will have to be some model type. Whitney was a model, singer, actress. They need to get the look right because the voice is the voice. The person just needs to look like Whitney, be able to act and lip sinc well. No young black actress out there today I can think of is tall enough or beautiful enough.

You are right. I was thinking that they could just lip sync and then I finished your comment about just that thing. HAHA! I'm guessing it might take decades. I've heard movies that finally get made sometimes take years for the right things to happen and sometimes they don't even get made at all. There shouldn't be any hurry. When they do hurry up movies, they usually are crap.

She's Whitney's daughter, but a far cry from Whitney. She's also half bobby brown. There are other actresses that would act circles around Bobbi Christina and look better doing it. No disrespect as I loved Whitney and care about her daughter because she did. I think Bobbi C is a spoiled dramatic brat and at 19 still has a lot of growing to do. I don't care what Bobbi C wants, are the producers willing to destroy a promising movie and let the fans down that made Whitney to appease BC? Whitney's fans deserve a good film much more the BC deserves to play her. I have nothing but love for BC, she needs to earn some things out there, then she'll have my undying support

If the producers think Bobbie would be great in the role I think that would be the correct person to answer this question. I can only hope she will turn out to be very successful since she has some big shoes to fill. I do not think anyone will ever match Whitney's voice it was one time only.

I didnt know the producers think she would be right for the film. Maybe they need to think about getting some different producers. I just dont see bobby browns daughter playing her mother but thats only my opinion...

Yeah, I heard that. Alicia Keys is a good singer, but she's not a Whitney caliber singer. the closest is Jennifer Hudson, but she's not pretty enough either. I think she does have the height. Anyway, I tell you they would have to find a new comer with the look. You can't get the look and the voice. Whoever plays Whitney will not be singing. They will do lip sinc because her voice was unique.

I think Halle would be perfect. She's gorgeous, a talented actress, has proven she can sing & dance. Jennifer Hudson is a good singer, but other than that, is she a good enough actress? She doesn't physically fit the part. Maybe a newcomer no one knows would be better.

Halle would be wrong as well because Halle can't sing; although I think she's a wonderful actress & then she doesn't look anything like Whitney either! Jennifer Hudson can sing & act--but she just don't have the "Whitney look" either; but, I think they can fix Brandy Norwood up 2 look very similar 2 Whitney & she can sing & she can act as well!

What? Halle Berry is a very good actress. What you smokin'? Rent "Losing Isiah" and tell me if you feel the same way. But I agree. Jennifer Hudson, no. An unknown, yes. It has to be about the look and acting, period. No one can duplicate Whitney's voice.

Eew no. Eve the rapper looks nothing like Whitney nor does she have the voice. Eve is a rapper. They really need to find someone that is good. I was laughing my butt off when they were suggesting Rihanna. I was like, wow! Rihanna has even less similarities to Whitney than Jennifer Hudson. I do agree with you that her daughter shouldn't play Whitney and no should Jennifer Hudson. I don't see Jennifer paying Whitney either but she does have the voice.
