Don't worry, it's not actually being planned yet, but Justin Bieber reportedly told The Sun that he would love to star as Danny in a "Grease" remake, and his top pick for co-star is none other than Miley Cyrus.
"It would be a lot of fun," he told the tabloid. "It's been talked about a lot over the years, but it would be awesome to play Danny ... I would go for Miley Cyrus [as co-star] without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act."
We admit, that seems a little far-fetched, but not impossible. After all, the 16-year-old has both an autobiographical comic book and an "8 Mile"-esque biopic already under way. Depending on how well he fares as an actor, we suppose anything is possible.
And we already know the kid can sing.
Bieber practically laid out the entire cast, too. Susan Boyle as Principle McGee ("We'd just need to write it into the script that she broke into song") and 27-year-old singer-songwriter Cheryl Cole as ... well, anyone with a skirt. "I would love to include Cheryl Cole as well. She would look great in the Rydell High cheerleading uniform."
We think we'll leave the casting up to someone else, but Bieber and Cyrus as the lead roles sounds strangely -- perhaps frighteningly -- plausible.

Cyrus was at first thought as the role model for teens. She became a teen model but she got overly sexy too soon that most people pushed her aside too early in her career. The same with Bieber. He got cozy with adult over-sexed women and people dont like that. He is supposed to be a model for young kids, but associating with those over sexed women will soon cause people to push him out. Besides, his voice is not that great !!
Grease is a classic in my opinion and John Travolta was great !! He will be insulted if Bieber does it. NO WAY should they remake it at all. Bieber is not that great at all. It is his good publicity agents that do a good job selling him. Most people predict he will soon be pushed aside too just like Cyrus who acted too overly sexy and changed boyfriends as often as she changed her clothes according to theTabloids..

Ever time someone remakes a movie, they change the story. That irks me. I enjoy some remakes, because technology changes. For example, Treasure Island taking advantage of color. It's bad enough that movie people change stories anyway, like Mysterious Island, or Robinson Crusoe, but remake after remake is insulting to both the author and the public.
What the entertainment world needs is more creativity and the acknowledgment that there are new and old authors who haven't yet been represented in film.
I'm sure they could do a live-action film version of "Crisipin: The Cross of Lead", or of another good child or teen's novel.
edited: I meant shouldn't
Any young starlet should have enough self respect as well as respect for those that were in Hollywood eons before them to not demean the work of others and cheapen the legacy of Hollywood. If they truly loved the craft of performing they would want to add to that rich legacy and put their own stamp in it, not be remembered for mimicking someone else.
best example of what i'm saying: the karate kid (the new one)
Also, Justin Beiber is on drugs if he thinks Miley Cyrus can sing, dance, or act. She is morbidly untalented in all of these categories.
Be an artist and make up your own stuff. (From scratch, original, from your own imagination without taking anyone's ideas or originality). It makes you look like a wannabe and poser... (and re-modernizing?? It's an artform from a specific time and not intending to be placed within today). If the movie is awesome, the kids of today just need to watch the original. Since classics and genuine- has no specific time-frame.. it has a wide spread meaning-symbolic nature that appeals to all ages.. no matter what year it is. (It covers the core that is in everyone).
