Should Ann Romney Have Turned Down 'Dancing with the Stars'?

“Dancing with the Stars” just wrapped its All-Stars season and is in the middle of casting Season 16, which will air later this spring. Amidst speculation about which celebrities they might choose, there is one public figure that we know for sure will not be out on the ballroom floor: Ann Romney. According to TMZ, the wife of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney “seriously considered” the offer before turning it down.

Ann Romney Mitt Romney Dancing with the Stars

Ann is allegedly a big fan of the show, as evidence by her appearance in the audience of the Season 15 finale with her son Craig. Perhaps Ann has had enough of the spotlight for year. But if her hubby is planning another run in 2016, the “DWTS” exposure may just have made them more appealing to middle America.

She would not have been the first politically associated figure to grace the dance floor. Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol made it to week five this season and third place is Season 11. And Former U.S. House majority leader Tom DeLay appeared on Season 9. Maybe when the next election gets closer, she’ll have a change of heart. What do you think? Should Ann Romney have turned down “Dancing with the Stars”?

Of course why would she want to down grade herself to be on that show, It once was a half way decent show, but not any more. She has to much dignity for this Hollywood crap. But hey they should ask Michelle, she is more of their style, no class.

Multiple Sclerosis is a very individual disease. It would have been hard on her to endure the routine over time and the stress would almost invite a relapse. She really made the right choice for her. multiple sclerosis chart

Good move Mrs. Romney....she is such a classy lady. To all you rude and crude people...get a life. This woman has more going for her than many of you will ever experience. While I have yet to look through the responses by the liberals I am armed and ready to respond. That is if I haven't already blocked you. LMBO!

The only move I'd like Ann Romney to do is move far far away to another country or planet. And besides, I thought Mormons aren't allowed to drink, dance or have any kind of fun.

Oh please...educate yourself. What does drinking have to do with dancing. Dancing doesn't kill but too much drinking does. I applaud them and their beliefs.

Actually, it's her choice to make that decision and is none of our business. Senior citizens have never done very well competing with young active showpeople in 'Dancing With the Stars', so I don't blame blame her for refusing.

While Marie Osmond belongs on DWTS, I hardly think that's really appropriate
for Anne, or any other former presidential candidates spouse. Their son or
daughter maybe, but not their spouse.

she is a private citizen and may do whatever she wishes. it was entirely her choice and not anyone else's business.

fwiw, she may have been unable to accept. MS is an unpredictable ailment which could have attacked mid-season making long-term plans that require such exertion a risky business.

in any case - - her choice, no one else's.

Her reason for not accepting the offer had to do with $$$$$$$. Also, exercise is great for the majority of people who have MS. I know that because I was diagnosed with it 20 years ago and I'm an exercise junkie.

She has far too much class and dignity to participate in DWTS!

Besides, she has MS and the stress of such strenuous and prolonged physical activity probably would not be a wise choice. She is far healthier than a lot of people who have MS, but her exercise should be under the supervision of her doctor and not in the limelight.

She does not need the money, and I do not even know if her physicians would clear her for such a rigorous regimen!
