The reason why I picked no is because I read that book so many times in school. I had to read it in middle school and highschool. It's okay, but it's not something I would wanna read more than once. It's a very short book though, and the pigs and horses are funny to me

It tells the story of the rise of Stalin and communism in a way that's accessable for those who aren't interested in reading their history book.

It needs to be taught with history so the reader gets the context. It was based on real people, groups and movements of the time. Without the context it is hard to make a connection to it.

Ugh. I read this book in eighth grade, and personally, I didn't like it. No one in my class did.
It teaches a good message, but it is just so boring. If they could find a more interesting book on the same subject, I'd be all for it.

Animal Farm pretty much explains what happened in Soviet Russia, how a good ideal or philosophy can go horribly wrong and be twisted into something it isn't.
