It doesn't take long for the entertainment industry to turn fact into fantasy these days. Hayden Panettiere was playing Amanda Knox in a Lifetime special just four years after the murder took place, and both Kurt Cobain and Jeff Buckley have been rumored subjects for upcoming projects. Amy Winehouse seems a likely candidate for something similar.
Not if her dad can help it. Mitch Winehouse, who owns the rights to Amy's body of work, supposedly announced he would not allow a fictional retelling of Winehouse's life. When rumors sprang up that one of Amy's exes was producing one, Mitch told The Daily Mail, "It would hardly be a biopic without the music and we’d never allow the songs to be released." However, it's not clear that he meant it was out of the question completely.

She could have been a classy lady except for her demons. I hope her Dad sticks to his guns.

they should have made it while she was still alive - then make her sit thru it over & over till she couldn't stand her low life self - not that I give a sht but I am tired of hearing/seeing tales of self absorbed junkies that end their lives while they are still alive = real life zombies !! then die young -
I think they should take all junkies & let them live where nothing else can survive - airdrop in tons of high quality Afghan heroin - you know some of that good sht the CIA boys are cultivating in the name of weapons of war -
film it as an educational reality show & show it in ALL the schools-
by the way - junkies means all those living in the control of a substance more powerful than them - taking & never giving to all around them -!!
