In 2012, the NBA is a lot different from a decade or two ago. One prime example of how things have changed is just this past Tuesday, when New York Knicks star and alleged team leader Amar'e Stoudemire showed up courtside -- in Miami. A Knicks player, shows up to a Miami Heat game, when it was that very team that sent his squad packing after the first round of the NBA playoffs.
While the case can be made it's the Eastern Conference Finals and it's a game most fans want to see, Knicks fans could have a problem with their team's leader front row center to watch New York's two biggest basketball rivals: the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. In years past, it's doubtful Michael Jordan or Knicks legend Patrick Ewing would attend each other's games, at least when active. The bright side is that Stoudemire didn't punch any glass casings that contain fire extinguishers, so that's a plus on the Amar'e scale of decisions.
However, that outfit he rocked looked like a cross between the Village People, James Harden, and a poor man's 50 Cent, making it the second Amar'e “fashion don't” of 2012 (his bad luck cornrows in the Miami series will always take first place.) Some fans will argue that Amar'e owns a place in Miami and therefore it's OK for him to attend a game when his team's not in it. What do you think about Amar'e Stoudemire showing up at the Heat-Celtics playoffs game?
