Karl Lagerfeld isn't content with Adele's weight, but there are plenty of people who are, and now it's giving the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter a chance to make a pretty penny as the face of The Big and the Beautiful, an online plus size dating website. According to Life & Style, the site is offering her £1 million ($1.6 million) to be a part of their advertising campaign.

Whitney Thompson, the website's president and a former "America's Next Top Model" winner, said, "Adele is a ridiculously talented bombshell. I would be proud to work alongside her to continue to show the world what curvy girls are made of." The Big and the Beautiful describes itself as "the fastest growing relationship service on the Internet for people of all beautiful shapes and sizes." Do you think Adele should endorse a plus-size dating website?

It's wrong to send that message. Look what obesity is doing to people. Hip, joint, muscle problems. Heart attacks, diabetes . . . . and you want to say it's OK to be fat. They need to get the hell off their ass and move. We're humans, not vegetables. Burn off those frency fries.

The one responding to you has called her so called friends "fat asses" to their faces and thinks THAT is classy!! By they way, her flipping off the brits was for a good reason, she along with the crowd was flipping off the brits who cut off her songs and speech! They invited her there and then due to their bad planning ran out of time and cut her spot!!!! Adele is a sassy one and as you say, with class.

LOL....oh, I will leave you with a song by Adele it might jog your memory a little of her but she won best album and song this year. Thanks CC. I have a vague idea who she is only because I've seen "full figured" posts and comments about her here on sh. It's like some people think she shouldn't be successful because, as you say, she is a "wee of a full figure girl".

I'm not really all that big on dating sites that specialize in that sorta thing. I mean love has nothing to do with your size, race, skin color, wealth etc. when I see ads for specialized dating sites I can't help but think "well what if the person out there waiting for you isn't a millionaire, or isn't a Christian or ______"

She doesn't need to endorse it- she'll be fine. Why can't plus sized women use a regular dating service? A special dating service would attract the freaks (fetishists and chubby chasers). Larger women can find love the same way other women do.

Plus, Karl Lagerfield has issues- he should STFU.

You also had Rita MacNeill, who was teased relentlessly. Your generation is superficial, too.
And this generation has Jennifer Hudson and people only mention her weight because she brings it up and endorses Weight Watchers, but even when she was on American Idol, people were focused on her talent and didn't go on about her weight. I'm not saying it's right, but I'm pretty sure skin colour has a lot to do with how the public accepts weight.

Let the girl sing. Why do people have to make a big deal about her weight? Now if she wants to do it, then that's on her. But lets' be honest, if she hangs around Hollywood long enough, those pounds will drop.

Look this is just my opinion and everything, but I am really getting tired of this kind of stuff. Like people are like yeah I am a plus-sized and I am proud! Well you know what, great for you but most non plus-sized people don't go around being like I AM THIN AND PROUD! Also it reduces your dating options if it was only for plus-sized people. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION PEOPLE.

I'm tired of that attitude, too. We're justifying being unhealthy weights simply because it's easier than getting in shape... and to make ourselves feel better about it, we're defending ourselves with media's equally harmful glorification of underweight images.

Well, she is plus size by medical standards... refusing to admit you're plus size when you actually are shows an attitude that being overweight is bad and therefore being overweight makes you bad... you shouldn't have that attitude. Being overweight is bad (for your health), but it doesn't mean that a person is bad in turn.
