Karl Lagerfeld isn't content with Adele's weight, but there are plenty of people who are, and now it's giving the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter a chance to make a pretty penny as the face of The Big and the Beautiful, an online plus size dating website. According to Life & Style, the site is offering her £1 million ($1.6 million) to be a part of their advertising campaign.

Whitney Thompson, the website's president and a former "America's Next Top Model" winner, said, "Adele is a ridiculously talented bombshell. I would be proud to work alongside her to continue to show the world what curvy girls are made of." The Big and the Beautiful describes itself as "the fastest growing relationship service on the Internet for people of all beautiful shapes and sizes." Do you think Adele should endorse a plus-size dating website?

It's wrong to send that message. Look what obesity is doing to people. Hip, joint, muscle problems. Heart attacks, diabetes . . . . and you want to say it's OK to be fat. They need to get the hell off their ass and move. We're humans, not vegetables. Burn off those frency fries.

why does somebody who is plus-size have to date someone who is also plus-size?? is this how is goes now? the slim with the slim and the fat with the fat?that's so narrow-minded....what does weight have to do with who you fall in love with??or with what makes you attractive(or you find attractive)....it's not the only factor!

She's gorgeous and I'm a beautiful "above average" woman as well. But by no means would I promote being unhealthy. I would promote acceptance of one's self. Healthy eating and exercising.. not necessarily 'dieting", but overall Wellness. I'm not sure she's the lady for the job since I read a quote from her that says she hates exercise.

But hey, that's her business, and regardless of her personal habits I would LOVE to see curvy woman in the media and, oh, let's say, VICTORIA'S SECRET. Their models are pencils and I would never know how the clothes look on me from online or magazine shopping. There we go, Adele should be a Vicky's model.

While I think she is talented and beautiful, I think endorsing a dating site may be in a bit of bad taste for her, especially given the subject matter of her biggest hit songs. Perhaps a plus-sized clothing line would be more in tune for her.

No. The women must be curvy, but not skinny or fat. To be curvy means a healthy WHR. 0.74 is ideal for a woman and 0.84 for a man. My own WHR is 0.74 and I am proud of it.

It is not about encouraging people to be fat-- they get enough discouragement for that as it is anyways-- it is about not dehumanizing people because of their weight. It is about letting people know that having a healthy figure is OKAY. It is about letting young girls know that they do not have to BE britney spears in order to be beautiful. And, most of all, it is about sending a loud and clear message to all the straight white males sitting in their houses in the clouds that women are not going to keep killing themselves to stay skinny unless some things start changing, and EVERYONE starts living up to the SAME standards!

I don't think if she did she'd be sending a message that obesity is ok.. (plus sized doesn't always mean obese or unhealthy) I think she'd be sending the message that despite what most of society thinks of plus sized women, there are some men attracted to them and the site is a way for them to meet such women... I was 268 last yr and considered overweight not obese and still got a clean bill of health from my Dr. since then I lost 18 lbs and am still healthy... I lose if I chose so I remain healthy not because I'm unhealthy uuuuunhealthy

I said yes b/c she's on top and women love her and this would be the time. Most women are not a size 2 and like to see a line for a larger women that's in fashion and complimentary--Altho I' sure she won't-it's not practical for her singing career, it's not a bad idea.

I'm a plus size i Weigh149Lbs and im 5ft and only 18 years old and idc.... people need to find a better question to ask instead of going strait for the wieght issues.. like seriously shes a gorgeous young lady and thats how she should be look at by not as a lady whos plus size....

NO. Adele looks very unhealthy (I'm a medical and nutrition researcher). She should learn to look after herself and loose weight. She should learn becoming vegan. Beatles, Leonardo Da Vinci and many other creators were vegan. Adele is an icon, and icons must start leading by good example, and not make obese people feel good about themselves as it's like bs masturbation. Regards from Berlin

Being vegan isn't exactly the best choice either. Many vegans have more health problems. Humans are meant to eat meat as well as vegetables, they need that protein from meat. Yeah, they got eggs and beans, but there are other things in meat they need.

Keep in mind that Adele was sick and had throat surgery, so of course she's not gonna look very healthy right now. She lost a lot of weight already, from not being able to eat because of her throat.

Obese people aren't always obese because they eat a lot. Some just have the fat gene. We need to help these people feel good about themselves. Many suicides are from overweight or obese teenagers, cuz no one tells them they're beautiful and their self-esteem is crap.

I could go on and on about this, but I doubt I have enough characters.

Adele is a beautiful woman! We are all to hung up on body image and who says that they have to be twiggy. I like to see some women that has curves not someone who looks like they have starved themselves to death to be a size 2. They look unhealthy. The Adele has a beautiful smile and a great voice. She looks healthy!

If they are paying her to make a commercial, she should. Whatever puts money in her pocket. It doesn't mean she will use the service, just like Tom Selleck hyping Florida orange juice doesn't mean he drinks it (he lives in Hawaii and California, he doesn't need Florida orange juice).

Celebs get PAID to use their face or voice to promote business-it doesn't mean they use that business.
