Former child star turned successful actor Shia LaBeouf is ready to take his career to the next level. Whether that level is up or down is anyone's guess. The 26-year-old actor tells MTV News that he will star in Lars von Trier's "Nymphomaniac" and that it will be controversial to say the least. With a film title like that, it's probably not going to be something the whole family will be going to see together.
The film will be released in two separate cuts--with one featuring unsimulated (real) sex scenes. "Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images," LaBeouf says. "Other than that, everything is happening." LaBeouf recently went full frontal in the nudity department, starring in a risque music video, so the former Disney star is clearly testing--and pushing the boundaries.
This news comes on the heels of LaBeouf proclaiming he is done with big budget studio films last week, saying he would rather do more work that allows him to be creative and free like indies. Of course, it was big budget films, along with his talents, that made LeBeouf a star, most notably with the Transformers series. LaBeouf has already made a lot of money in his career, but could alienate a large part of his fan base--and Hollywood--with going too extreme this time around.

I don't care what he does but it will definitely alienate this gifted actor who would fair better with challenging roles that show his craft in creating a character. Surely he'd be a fool if he chooses to do trash work. Good luck.....fool.

Most sex scenes are simulated, but in this movie they will be real.
He can do whatever he wants, but there will probably be repercussions for it. Most of the American public is quite prudish- whether he is single or not.
And I have mixed feelings about Lars von Trier. I thought 'Melancholia' was great', but 'Antichrist' was just too much for me (as in, too explicit and not leaving enough to the viewer's imagination).
**Yes, I know there's a zillion to one chance he'd read this. But the writing perspective serves my point.
He is a damn good actor, too!
I hope those participating in this pornographic main stream film have bad luck for the rest of their lives.
Oh............and I'm NOT a prude! And I'm not religious. But what I do sexually is within the confines of my home!
Someone is paying this gal to have sex and likewise someone is paying him to do the same, why isn't it prostitution?
I worked in the movies for 20 years, you'd be surprised at what gets left on the 'cutting room' floor....
