On Tuesday in Barcelona, Spain, Shakira gave birth to a baby boy named Milan Piqué Mebarak. The Colombian singer and her soccer star boyfriend Gerard Piqué tweeted the happy news.
On her website she wrote in English and Spanish that the baby, who became a member of the professional football club FC Barcelona, weighed 6lbs. 6 ounces. Both mom and the soon-to-be soccer star are healthy and resting comfortably. Earlier in the day, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer asked fans to “accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life.”
“The Voice” judge and her pro-athlete baby-daddy, knowing that baby Milan will never go without, also encouraged their followers to contribute to their virtual shower via Unicef. They asking for donations so that other less privileged children around the world can have the basic needs we take for granted.
Shakira also explained the name she and Gerard gave to their son. "The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification." Do you like the baby name Milan? Or is it just another weird celebrity name?

little guy has at least one older brother.
He won't have to put up with it all that long.
