Yet another milestone in the decline of the USA.

Liberals will say 'so what?' without any knowledge of what the c-walk stands for.

The crips are a criminal organization built on murder, robbery an intimidation that have oppressed predominantly black neighborhoods through massive violence.

For Compton's most famous woman to celebrate this criminal organization is depressing.

    crips gang violence

    Appropriately enough:

She KNEW exactly what she was doing...as evidenced in the answer she gave the reporter who asked what the dance was called... "Actually, there is a name. But i don't know if i -------- it's inappropriate," ... "It's just a dance we do in California."...REALLY...just a dance....she could have said ANYTHING...instead by saying nothing she told the truth.

All the libs who say the boy blunders world apology tour is OK because he is repairing all the damage done from American arrogance are full of it...THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE REST OF THE WORLD IS TALKING ABOUT...

Nobody is saying anything about the American girl who flashed some gang sign while being introduced before her track event...

Show some class...be an example...pull your selfish head out of your ass and act like you've been there before...you're the best in the WORLD...act like it.

The Williams sisters have classed up their act over their careers but IF (only IF) she understood the background of her 'dance' then it was off base... Now if it's just a cute little dance she's seen around and didn't understand where it cam from well that's another story but her background in SoCal suggests she should at least have some idea.

Probably not the classiest thing she could have done. If she had been unaware of the origins of the dance, that might be forgivable. But from what I understand, she knew the source and chose to do it anyway. Not a good example for other young people.

I get what you're saying, especially being a former military man. When we were out in public, we always had to maintain a high level of respect because we were representing the Army and the United States. Very good point Art!

There should have been a third option, stupid. However, after reading some of the comments here and listening to the interview after the match, Serena knew exactly what she was doing and what the dance meant and therefore she is totally crass and classless.

I don't know. I guess I stand corrected but I will add (And I am a very conservative guy) that pop culture is often influenced by many things both good and bad and I am still reluctant to condemn the action. Still I appreciate the your answer.

It wasn't classy nor was it crass. She was happy that she won and she broke out into a dance. It is no different from someone jumping up and down because they couldn't contain themselves.

Some people just read to much into certain things so they can start an argument. Congrats Serena, you deserve that medal. GO USA!
