Poor choices to answer the poll question. Rather biased? But then again, the entire poll is based on an assumption that the rumors are true - and often they are not. I don't buy that this is a fact. don t believe everything you read

The thing that makes these allegations most credible is the response from the Church of Scientology itself.

The official CoS response contains mostly demonstrable lies and slander.

And unlike the people making the allegations, they can't keep their story straight but seem to be denying things that they have previously admitted to.

But then again, if they did anything else they would be violating L. Ron Hubbard's scripture:

"If attacked on some vulnerable point by anyone or anything or any organization, always find or manufacture enough threat against them to cause them to sue for peace. Peace is bought with an exchange of advantage, so make the advantage and then settle. Don't ever defend. Always attack."
[Hubbard, "Dept of Govt Affairs", HCO Policy Letter of 15 Oct 1960]

When I first came to SH I was amazed, not only at the wild rumors about the religion – but that there were actually people who believed the stories. I guess these latest absurd rumors pale in comparison to eating placentas or waiting for the ‘mother ship’. (LOL) When the divorce hit, the tabloids were hoping for some real drama – and when it ended too quickly with none of the rumors confirmed by those involved -- I guess they really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to come up with something new. So now the church is in the match-making business? Is that the best they could come up with?

Here is something I think is more believable:

    gullible

Not extraordinarily weird when it comes to Scientology, though.

And completely not surprising. This IS Scientology and he IS the "heir apparent" to the religion after all.

Arranged marriages should be illegal. Infact, they should have been illegal a hundred years ago.
