It's out with the old, in with the new. Fred Armisen won't be playing President Obama when "Saturday Night Live" returns this weekend. Instead, newer cast member Jay Pharoah will take over presidential duties.

“Jay has been doing Obama in his act this summer, and Jay is coming into his own,” "SNL" executive producer Lorne Michaels told The New York Times. “I just thought it might be time to shake it up.”
Jason Sudeikis will reprise his role as Mitt Romney (he also plays Biden); Taran Killam is likely to play Paul Ryan. But Michaels admits that it's hard to make fun of Obama. Of his comedy hook, he tells the paper, "So far we haven’t found it."
The show is premiering a week early to capitalize on the political conventions. "We have at least three different takes on Clint," he said, referring to Clint Eastwood's "empty chair" speech at the RNC. Will you tune into "SNL" for election season? Or is the show simply not that funny anymore?

But sadly, elections are not won by the thoughful. They are clinched by the 10-15% who wander into the voting booth and vote for the person they know best or simply out of whim.
Because of this, I've never been a believer in a large voter turnout. But at the risk of sounding partisan, I really want Obama out. This is best exemplified by the worlds of Steve Jobs biographer. Jobs was a liberal Democrat. But after meeting with Obama, he told his friend and associates that he was appalled at the ignorance and inneptness of this man.
Now he says the show is completely different, and he does not watch it any more.
i have only seen the show 2 times, sitting alone in the dark. i was quickly bored, it was never funny.. i changed the channel to find some thing better to watch both times.
