Can you say "swoon"? Hunky actor Ryan Gosling is in the mix to play kinky Christian Grey in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, author EL James' husband says, according to Now magazine.

Niall Leonard says that "last he heard," 31-year-old Gosling was what the magazine calls "in the frame" to play the gorgeous, sexually deviant billionaire. But he insists the somewhat disturbed character wasn't based on him. "I'm glad I'm not him because he's actually damaged. I wouldn't have liked to go through what he went through," he tells Now.

We don't know about you, but we think Ryan Gosling would be absolutely perfect as Christian. We also think he'd be absolutely perfect in any film... so we may be a little biased. Do you agree? Or can you think of a studlier actor to play Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades"?

No matter how talented and AMAZINGLY good-looking Ryan is, he should stay away from this poorly-written smut. It's a sad excuse for literature and shouldn't be in the mist of actual talent and or people who want to be taken seriously in the film industry. Why this is being made into a movie is beyond me.

nah, he.s too cute for that. that character seems like a jerk from the summary(1. he doesn.t want a relationship 2. he controls her in a bad way 3. i think i read he beats her. but rlly beats her. the idea of a lil violence n chokin n stuff is very hot but beatin her like she.s a thief sentenced to it is not. plus, he wouldn.t want to switch roles sometimes, just shows he isn.t rlly fun. meh, ryan can play him, i.m not crazy for him at all but still, he is a good actor so maybe not if the book is that bad as they say. i like the idea of a hot book but this one is about a stuck up douche and a silly girl. i.m not rlly strong and stuff, but man. i would never cave in to that.

If the majority of the book is about sex and the various ways of having it, and it gets transformed into a movie, isn't it really just a porn movie at that point? Will it be "safe" enough to release into movie theatres at that point? I mean other than the adult theatres. There's only so much that can be edited out/down until you're left with a few kissing/making out/vanilla sex scenes before you're left with not much of a plot.
