Can you say "swoon"? Hunky actor Ryan Gosling is in the mix to play kinky Christian Grey in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, author EL James' husband says, according to Now magazine.

Niall Leonard says that "last he heard," 31-year-old Gosling was what the magazine calls "in the frame" to play the gorgeous, sexually deviant billionaire. But he insists the somewhat disturbed character wasn't based on him. "I'm glad I'm not him because he's actually damaged. I wouldn't have liked to go through what he went through," he tells Now.

We don't know about you, but we think Ryan Gosling would be absolutely perfect as Christian. We also think he'd be absolutely perfect in any film... so we may be a little biased. Do you agree? Or can you think of a studlier actor to play Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades"?

No matter how talented and AMAZINGLY good-looking Ryan is, he should stay away from this poorly-written smut. It's a sad excuse for literature and shouldn't be in the mist of actual talent and or people who want to be taken seriously in the film industry. Why this is being made into a movie is beyond me.

I keep telling everyone Joseph Morgan (Klaus from The Vampire Diaries) is perfect for Christian Grey. I would just like to see some eye candy on the big screen. The book was amateur and the movie will probably suck but as long as there's a hot guy to drool over, I'm okay with that.

haven't read the book but my wife and most of her friend's have... from what I know Jude Law would do the job... and Gosling is one of my fave actors and if he did this movie I'd lose respect for him

Ryan should be banned from making any more movies. In 2002, he made a movie with Sandra Bullock called "Murder by Numbers." He did not marry her. He let her get away. He could have saved her from Jesse James. Shame on him!

It was in the tabloids that Ryan and Sandra were dating, but that may have just been hype for the film. I really do not know. She is older than he is. I just do not know how she could have wound up with Jesse James. They say opposittes attaract, but that was over the top!

No I cannot say swoon, he his not hunky, whenever I see his face all I see is 'stupid rom-com Ryan' He is not sexy enough to play CG. He cannot pull off the dark and sexy thing like Ian Somerhalder or Henry Cavill or Jonathan Rhys Meyers do.
