I remember seeing Ike + Tina Turner on The Mardi Gras in Liverpool in 1967/8, you`d never believe this is the same woman !!. She`s lightened her skin so much + must have had a face lift etc. Love of self springs to mind, like so many of these celebrities.

I was with a group of people sitting at a table with Pete Waterman about 8 or 9 years ago, and she turned up to talk about a new recording or something, but what surprised me was how tiny she is, her fitness regime is extremely demanding....i think Brand will cope however !!!

When I think of Russell Brand-and those of his ilk-somehow the words of my old drill sergeant,when I first enlisted in the army- a tough as old boots Irishman, whose favourite phrase this was to describe what he might consider a 'less than macho' soldier to resemble-echo eerily in my head down the long years since: " What a big, soft tart!"
In his case, anyway, I would say it was a very apt description...!!

Brand is a real minger and according to one or two of his former conquests, his personal hygiene is very suspect. But then, when desperation overrides your sense of smell, there is no telling what creepy crawlers, you will allow between your sheets!
