Roseanne Barr gets her own Comedy Central Roast this August

Comedy Central is rolling out the red carpet for one of America's most
outspoken and pioneering comedians. The network announced today that Roseanne Barr will be the next Roastee. The Comedy Central Roast Of Roseanne
(#RoseanneRoast) will tape in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 4. The
Roast will premiere on Comedy Central on Sunday, August 12 at 10:00 p.m.
ET/PT.

"Although Roseanne Barr
appears to be a demure, soft spoken woman eternally committed to the
status quo, we believe under the surface is an explosive, trail-blazing
cultural revolution. We are honored to Roast her," said Kent Alterman, Head of Original Programming and Production, Comedy Central.

"Celebrating Roseanne Barr's
unprecedented achievements in comedy and television will surely inspire
us to make this Roast more reminiscent of the classic roasts, where the
intimacy of friends jousting with each other came through."

When asked about the Comedy Central Roast, Roseanne Barr
remarked, "All I can say is good luck finding anything about me to make
fun of... I mean, I've never made a mistake or offended anyone in my
life!"

Comedy Central Roast episode 2.4, "Comedy Central Roast of Rosanne" airs on Comedy Central August 12th, 2012.

I've liked this woman since i was a kid but i know alot of people have a stick up it about her. I think some people can't take her jokes. I knew one woman at work that was vile and shed say just about anything to anyone but thought Roseanne was loud trashy and obnoxious. I was like look in the mirror bi (h. Roseanne may speak her mind and laughs at her own mistakes but people can't seem to see she's got alot of good in her. plus its comedy central.
