But what about...
Crash dieting, overexercising, and forcing myself to puke actually ruined my metabolism. I had to stop engaging in these practices (particularly the extreme dieting) in order to avoid getting fatter. Extreme low calorie dieting does not make you thinner in the long run, it screws your metabolism all to hell.
Studies show that people who exercise moderately and eat well tend to be healthier REGARDLESS OF THEIR BODY TYPE!
I'm glad that Julianne doesn't think she has to be twig thin. But she's wrong about the attitude towards women's bodies in the 1980's.
