Robert Plant Tells 60 Minutes 'I've Got Nothing to Do in 2014': Will Led Zeppelin Reunite?

The best of Zed Zeplin's musical genius exists recorded on media for posterity. Though I had always preferred what we used to refer to as, "soft rock", back in the day, the talent in these early Heavy Metal pioneers would eventually strike a chord with me in my later teens as I went through the most difficult time of my growing up. Like my mind at that time, the music was dark and self absorblingly addictive. It was music, not necessarily as it ought to be, but it was quality, high quality, "evil" musical genius. I would immerse my misery and my discontent in it, such that despite what was emotionally a most bitter time in my life, my memories of the many hours spent listening to Led Zep on the road in my car so long ago hold a pleasingly nostalgic quality to them.
That was 33 years ago, and I've left that difficult time, along with my one time self-defeating daily fix of Led Zeplin, far behind. Yet, unlike most of artists to come along after in the Heavy Metal genre, there's a solid respect I have for the Led Zep as the inimitable masters of a genre they so brilliantly pioneered in.

I don't know If it will, but I don't wanna see it.I love Led Zeppelin, but I doubt Plant can sing half as well as he did back then.Plus, Jimmy Page always sucked life and their drummer is dead.I'd rather see Plant in the studio singing something with Ozzy or Tyler.

I don't set much store by any rumor of a reunion of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page,
or any of the remaining surviving members of that band at this stage. Didn't
they have a reunion several years back with the late Jon Bonham's son filling
in for his father as their drummer? I might be mistaken in that, though.

Maybe for a show at the nursing home.

I am so sorry for any Led Zeppelin fans out there that are still alive or still have their wits about them. Never liked the group, well may be one song. So, I must say to Robert Plant why don't you go live in a cave for a year and write childrens song.

At least, I hope so \m/ I was just thinking the other day about it. Ozzy & Steven Tyler didn't retire to country music and they're still rocking. Robert Plant should be, too. Be authentic!!

I would like to get my chance to see them I had tickets for their show at the Rochester War Memorial after in through the outdoor came out but John(RIP) could not attend and Zep was no more :(

It will depend if all remaining members open their check books and see how much they have left. But if I were Robert Plant, I'd hit the gym first. Just sayin.

yes, they DID rule rock, no question. But all you gung -ho rah rah people act like leaving at the TOP of your game is inconsequential. NOTHING is more excruciating then watching icons forced to be parodies of their once great selves...

I would be there! A friend of mine, Lisa Mills, a home town singer and guitarist who's toured with Big Brother and the Holding Company doing Joplin tunes did a couple of projects with Robert a few years back, and he's certainly still got it.

Sure, why not? Robert Plant is really quite down to earth about himself, which is refreshing for a dude of his iconic class. So sure, why not? It would be a good thing.

I only put "yes" because they MIGHT do like, ONE more gig. But as far as reuniting and touring---NO. And that's what makes them class--they couldn't go on without Bonzo and knew it. Much better this way, to leave the integrity of this band intact rather than go on & on like some bands with rotating "members" and just trying to milk a few more millions out of the name. Class--these guys have it. Zeppelin isn't Zeppelin without John Bonham, so just leave it alone. Would love to see them, but some things need to be left alone, and this is one of them.

John's son Jason was with them in 2007 and he knows dad's licks backward and forward. It was excellent!

there is a reason why they never replaced bonham with another drummer and tried to go on as led zeppelin.
