Robert Pattinson Was About to Propose to Kristen Stewart, According to Reports: Should He Give Her a Second Chance?

The latest Robsten news: Robert Pattinson was reportedly weeks away from proposing to Kristen Stewart when he learned that she had cheated on him with her married "Snow White" director.

"Friends of Robert have told us that this was the woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and he was actually very close to proposing when he heard about the affair," reports Dina Sansing of Us Weekly magazine.

We're also hearing that the 22-year-old never slept with the 41-year-old father of two. But even if the "momentary indiscretion" was just a kiss, R-Patz seems to be pretty PO'd about it (and rightfully so). People reports that Pattinson and Stewart have both left the Los Angeles home they shared and are living separately elsewhere -- and not speaking to each other.

    It is over. The trust is gone, and even though he may love her still, he cant trust her to not do it again. He needs to let her go.

    Actually, I don't have an opinion.

    I think it's his choice. It's THEIR relationship-- he's the only one who knows enough about what went on, and about her, to judge whether he can give her a second chance.

    I don't know. I suppose that's up to HIM. But if he does decide to forgive her, I think he should hold off on proposing to her for sure. It's going to take awhile to build up any sort of trust again, if that's even possible.

    I repeat myself, but again...this wasn't an "oops." This wasn't a mistake. This wasn't a one-time thing. She carried on this affair behind everyone's backs for months and there's just no excusing that kind of willful, deliberate cheating. If he has respect for himself, he'll never let her back in to his life like that.

    She cheated on him - so she wasn't happy. Forgiving her and proposing to her would be the worst thing he could do right now. They're young. They should spend some time away from each other, get to know other people and then they can still decide if it's worth it or not.

    how can he possibly trust her not to do the same thing the next time she's on a movie set. someone who commits adultery is pretty much the scum of the earth. they have no regard as to the turmoil that their actions might cause to the married parties family especially any children that may be involved. dump her and good ridden
