One Jesse Stone novel has yet to be published. Also another western by Parker. Two more Spenser novels are said to be 'in production, but unscheduled' by the publisher.

A very profilic writer to be sure. His best works were Poodle Springs (A completion of Raymond Chandler's last, unfinished, novel) and Perchance to Dream a sequel to Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep.

I never read Perchance to Dream. I like 'Wilderness', one of his less known books. It sort of takes the Spenser situation and does things with that you couldn't get away with in a Spenser novel. Things go wrong, main characters die....

wilderness books sort spenser situation spenser wrong main characters die

I think the Jesse Stone TV movies are the best screen adaptions of Parker's work. (I haven't seen the western.)
