Rihanna and Joan Rivers are embroiled in a nasty catfight -- and the claws are really starting to come out. Last week, the 79-year-old comedienne tweeted her response to Rihanna's Oprah interview, in which she admitted that she still loves her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

"Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown. Idiot! Now it's MY turn to slap her," Joan tweeted. Rihanna then tweeted, "CONTROL YOUR SPEECH," adding, "wow u really do get slow when you're old huh," a comment she later deleted, according to Yahoo! Finally, she wrote: "Slap on some diapers."

But Rivers didn't seem to be terribly offended. In fact, she still wants Rihanna to be on her show: "Honey, @Rihanna, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he'll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS - Love to have you on Fashion Police."

Rhianna is a made version of a pop singer with limited, if any talent and, altho i felt sorry for her at one time, I have no sympathy for a nasty little insignificant such as she has shown herself to be. Rivers tweets tongue in cheek and this kid comes back with age descrimination. Disgusting.

Neither to be honest. Rivers is all about shock value. She always has been and always will be. That's what made her famous. That big yap of hers. Anyway, at this point her face is so deformed I
can't look at her without wincing. Rihanna was honest about her feelings and the only person that had no class was Oprah, for asking in the first place. Yet another mouth piece.

I still love Chris Brown too. Joan is a stupid idiot if she really expects Riri to go on her show after what happened. She was asking for it..she got it. Though personally I wouldnt make fun of an old woman,:/

the reason being, I am living proof of an abuser for 13 years....the final straw was I was beat repeateley with a hammer, in the head and my body....I actually should not be alive....but I am a survivor, but hey to each it's own.....I learned my lesson and got out....best thing that ever happened to me!

A.) this is a two person issue..and
B.)only two people REALLY know what happened..and
C.) she has decided to forgive him..So ..

Seriously, Rihanna is the poster child for every stupid woman out there that allows a man to abuse her. I get it, the feelings don't go away overnight; but no one (and that includes abused men as well) should put up with someone who assaults you. I have very little respect or pity for people who continually defend abusers and put themselves in harms way. Chris Brown is a loser, and Rihanna is headed to an earlier grave than Rivers if she keeps him around. How can one even be sensitive to a situation when the one being abused doesn't even care?

I don't really know/like either - so i'm judging on their comments to each other. I guess Joan could have been more sensitive to the issue but she is right - Chris Brown will hit her again. He'll make promises to her that he can't keep.
