Rihanna and Joan Rivers are embroiled in a nasty catfight -- and the claws are really starting to come out. Last week, the 79-year-old comedienne tweeted her response to Rihanna's Oprah interview, in which she admitted that she still loves her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

"Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown. Idiot! Now it's MY turn to slap her," Joan tweeted. Rihanna then tweeted, "CONTROL YOUR SPEECH," adding, "wow u really do get slow when you're old huh," a comment she later deleted, according to Yahoo! Finally, she wrote: "Slap on some diapers."

But Rivers didn't seem to be terribly offended. In fact, she still wants Rihanna to be on her show: "Honey, @Rihanna, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he'll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS - Love to have you on Fashion Police."

Rivers was rude, but it's true. I remember what Rhianna's face looked like after Chris beat her- battered and bruised. It seems irresponsible to mention that she still loves him on national television because her fanbase mostly consists of teenagers.

i didnt see the interview, but from reading this and hearing things about it, im with Rihanna.
when you love someone, it takes a lot to stop. im not saying to stay in abusive relationships, but people can change. things happen, you werent there, you dont know what really went on and the conversations that they have had since. for all you know he could have been really upset about it and said sorry, granted it doesnt take it back, but you cant change what just happend cause from that point on its the past. or maybe he didnt, you dont know you werent there, we only know the he said she said part.
shes as grown woman, i think she knows whats shes doing.

I'm for both but leaning towards Joan Rivers. On one hand, who Rhianna loves isn't Joan's concern but on the other hand Rhianna didn't have to be rude in her response besides the only thing Rhianna is really known for is being beaten up by Chris Brown

Not really. My little sister has been over-reactive for her whole life. She's not emulating anyone. She has so little exposure to celebrities, I doubt she knows how any of them behave in particular. I think it's genetic, sorry :P
