There are plenty of celebs out there we've suspected of going to extreme measures to keep their weight down, but Rihanna is not one of them. She's got one of the nicest bodies in the industry, but she's not a beanpole by any means.
So we were kind of surprised to hear the 23-year-old Grammy winner might have a frightening eating disorder.
She tweeted, "'#RihannaNavy I shot my first cover for Esquire yesterday with Russell James #rockstars*** Not much preparation for that besides wax+starve!!"
Starve? Uh, what?
But it wasn't the media who caught on to this first, it was her fans.
Fans responded with concerned tweets, writing, "how long did you starve??? That #rockstars--t doesn't seem fun!!" and, "starve?? why?? thats a bad message to your fans ri-ri im dissapointed."
Rihanna ignored the responses.
Obviously, no one is sure if this was just a one-off comment or a consistent habit, but either way it doesn't sound like a healthy method of slimming down for a photo shoot.
Plus, we don't think anyone really wants to see Rihanna skinnier than she already is. She managed to secure a spot in the top 10 on Maxim's Hot 100 with food in her belly. Why change?

Shawna 2011/07/30 01:44:18Understandable+15You are foolish if you think any celebrity in the spotlight with a "good" body is not doing extreme things. Even the amount of "healthy" work it takes such as a rigid diet and exercise routine is not really normal. It is required because the standards have been set. We want rock hard bodies without the use of a girdle. Yes there is photos shop but performers such as Rihanna are expected to wear tight or revealing clothes and they do. Don't misunderstand and think I am condoning this. I'm not. I'm just saying it is stupid to think a hot looking celebrity is doing it in a healthy way. If they are over 27 years old they have to be obsessed with diet and exercise at the very least. If you want a totally flat stomach for a photo shoot you will have to starve yourself at least 12 hours before the shoot.

All ready as sexy as hell.someone slap
Her already
Plus, she's setting a bad example for others.
