"Saturday Night Live" creator Lorne Michaels is peeved at Rihanna, despite a well-received performance on this week's show. The 24-year-old pop singer reportedly called in sick for final dress rehearsals -- which are done in front of a live studio audience right before filming -- then showed up for the actual broadcast looking fine. Choreographers took her place during the rehearsal.

According to TMZ, producers "can't even remember the last time someone has skipped the dress rehearsal." One of Rihanna's reps told TMZ, "[She] was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show." She did call a doctor into her dressing room just before the show for a shot of penicillin, but as viewers can attest, she looked perfectly fine on stage. Do you think "SNL" should invite her back?

Dang she said she was SICK, I have been sick one day looking like hell, the next day clean myself up and I am just fine... NO ONE IS PERFECT...

This is considered a big deal on SNL b/c they want to have a back-up tape in case anything goes wrong. In this case it didn't, but that doesn't mean it didn't peeve the producers. They probably also started to get a back-up act to put in for her or something since they thought she was sick...this just wasted their time and was unprofessional. Even if she wasn't feeling well she should have tried, it isn't like she made a miraculous recovery in a matter of hours. She is a performer and that is part of the gig. Performing isn't my profession, but I did get a music degree along with chemistry degree (b/f grad school) and I can sing if I have any tone in my voice....if I'm down to a whisper them I am out but otherwise it is just harder. That said, singing when sick (or rather when you lose your voice) is really educational, you HAVE to sing properly (from the diaphragm) b/c that is all you got.

Look guys, it isn't like she didn't show up because she was busy doing whatever it is she does when she isn't being kicked out of farmer's fields, it's because she was sick. And it was probably because she went to the doctor that she was able to perform at showtime as scheduled in the first place.

Give Rihanna a break, she probably didn't look sick because you can do great things with make-up... at least she didn't miss the whole show. I highly doubt she was faking if a doctor was there.

Very unprofessional what she did. I could not watch her performance. Absolutely terrible. My guess is she will not be back.

Yeah , they should invite her back , but this time studio , write a contract that spells out what will be required for the performer to get a dime of pay. You dont make a clear and iron clad contract then expect to get what you get.

This was extremely unprofessional behavior on her part. Unless there was a dire family emergency or she was very ill, there was no excuse. Being on Saturday Night Live is an honor for any entertainer.
