After reading the statements her father made I can see why she would be attracted to this type of an abusive male.

There are a lot of people on here, mostly women, who are very wrong to condemn Rihanna. To begin with, she doesn't need your or anyone else's approval to see whom she wants. Second, if she decides to forgive Chris Brown for what he did, who are YOU to hold a grudge? Finally, for those saying "shes setting a bad example for women", what about the example of forgiveness and reconciliation? Would our divorce rates be so high if couples could forgive one another for their wrongdoings? You are in great error.

What about the example Jesus gave, for those of you who call yourselves Christians? Do you know or remember the passage about the woman caught in adultery, where Jesus forgave her and convicted her accusers of condemning a woman whom God had forgiven?



"May he among you without sin cast the first stone."



And don't even try to say I'm sticking up for C.B. just because I'm a man. I'm not condoning what he did. My point is that if Rihanna has forgiven him, what is the point of you condemning her for it?

Chris Brown just didn't do something wrong such as forget to pick up milk when he went shopping.
This man viciously beat Rihanna.
He didn’t just make a little mistake he crossed the line.
As for Rihanna allowing her attacker back into her life is a clear indication that this is not her first walk in the park with abusive people in her life.

That's just it...it would be easy to forgive little things like forgetting the milk. The true test of character is being able to forgive a really great sin. What people don't realize is that forgiveness isn't really for the culprit as much as it is for the victim. Holding on to that anger and resentment only poisons your soul. One of my ex-gf's, whom I loved very much, cheated on me with another guy once. Does that count as "crossing the line"? Sure, I went through months of anger and betrayal, but after a while, I realized that the best "revenge" I could have would be to just let it go. To forgive her. Because holding onto that anger wasn't doing me any good. I had to forgive her and let that part of me die in the process. I had to lay it to rest and be done with it. Strangely enough, several years later we reconciled the past and we are actually good friends now.

Again, to the Christians, I quote this very famous line "Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us" and "For if you don't forgive your brother his sins, neither will your father in heaven forgive you your sins."

The fact that Rihanna is able to forgive Chris and move on proves that she's a better woman than most of you insulting her.

Are you kidding me, there is an enormous difference between being brutally beaten and being cheated on.
The minute physical violence come into play the situation becomes a criminal act.
People do not go to jail for cheating on their partner however, if you beat your partner black and blue that is a criminal offence.
Nonetheless, I do agree with you that allowing ourselves to forgive those who have harmed us is better for our own mental well-being in the long run.

The fact that she'll even associate with him astounds me. Does she not remember how her face looked after he got done bashing it in?? I'm sorry to sound so harsh, but there's no way that she should even be with him at this point. It's okay to forgive someone, but let's be honest. If he hit you once, he'll hit you again. It's only a matter of time. Once you physically hurt someone, it's done.

She is a complete idiot. If someone hits you once its bound to happen again, 90 % of the time it does, if not more then that.... She will learn it. But if she wants to be with the punk that hit her thats on her.

These 2 people are both idiots. Let them continue out their abusive relationship but quit getting the public involved. She obviously loves to be beaten, let her do her thing.

Btw Chris Brown ain't that tough. I guess Rihanna meant when she said it in her song with Eminem: "I like the way it hurts." She was probably hoping Eminem would kick her ass too.

No it can't be thought as innocent and it will never makes sense but I would imagine it does make sense to the handlers and agents of both of them who have pitched this multi-million dollar or more collaboration of these two and obviously succeeded. Surprised she would even want to be in the same room with someone that used her face as a punching bag.

I could understand that she still has feelings, but she'd need to wake up quick. Obviously to Chris, that night was all about control and power. He didn't give a damn about her or her face the night he hit her! She needs to get it together!
