For all the sexual mojo emanating from pop singer Rihanna when she's dancing on stage or performing for one of her music videos, her career has made it tough to enjoy single living. She recently told Ellen DeGeneres, "I'm not dating anyone right now ... I do put a lot into my job. Most of my time, if not all of it. It definitely affects my personal life. My personal life is pretty much non-existent -- which is not good, not for the long run."

She went on to lament that, despite her sexy songstressing, she doesn't even get any booty calls. And if it's because they're intimidated, that's even worse. She continued, "I like a man to be sure, to be sure of themselves and know that you're the man. I'm the lady, and the only way for us to make this work is for us to play our roles."

There is absolutely nothing wrong with preferring to be in a relationship, provided you do it for the right reasons. "I don't want to be alone," doesn't count.

It is better to be single and lonely than to spend you life with someone who will drive you crazy and mistreat your children.

There is nothing wrong with being 28 and single! You would think that being a celebrity she could date just about anyone but in reality it shrinks the dating pool. There are so many players out there that would just kiss and tell for a moment of fame and a few bucks. Just ask Ashton. Rhianna, enjoy your single life but beware of the dawgs!

I usually act like I'm happier but truth is when I see a very happy couple, it tugs at my heartstrings. However, I've not had to deal with any heartbreak or disappointments so I guess happy/unhappy is a 50/50 for me. I think the worst part of being single for me is not having someone to cuddle with ^_^

I'm usually sad (or traumatized...it depends on how crazy she was) after a break-up. I've found the best way to get over it is to move on and find 3 more to replace here.

Since I AM single, and I do always try to make the best of every situation, then yes, I'm happy. Would I like to have someone special who understands me (or at least tries) and enjoys doing the things I enjoy doing and will go out of his way to support me? Sure. But since I don't. I'm happy. We can't make someone else happy unless we are ourselves, right?

Happy - yes. Comfortable - yes. Wanting to stay single - no. But you have to be ready. Rushing only creates bigger problems, no one could be happy with. For me, I had to give myself time after my wife died. I think I may actually be ready this next year, to start dating again.

When you decide it's time to move on, try to remember that dating is supposed to be all about having fun, until you meet someone who might be worth getting serious about.

Just remember there's absolutely no rush.

There's nothing stopping you from dating as many people as you want. I know that there's a lot of pressure against that in high school, but afterwards, most of that goes away.

Yep. Three boyfriends in the last year is my only real dating experience, and it told me that unless someone extraordinary just happens to come by, there's no point in looking right now when my focus is on school and artwork. I'm honestly in no rush, because I know exactly what I want out of a relationship, and I doubt I'll find that in high school.

I'm happy and married now, but when I was single, I was happy always. You see, I'm a war veteran, and I often tell others who complain about life that they should be thankful for being alive because there are so many others that didn't wake up today. My goodness, Rihanna is such a BEAUTIFUL young lady, and she's a successful singer. She has so much to be thankful for. A guy or any relationship shouldn't define who you are or your happiness! I'd like to SLAP some sense into her, but her previous boyfriend probably did enough slapping for a lifetime. :) lol

To some people, success isn't worth much without someone to share it with. And some people measure success by the love in their life as opposed to the acquiring of material possessions. Also, if the most success you have in a day is waking up, it can be a pretty sad existence.
