I did not like Ricky as host. I did not find him entertaining or funny. There are better candidates for host such as Ellen DeGeneres, Hugh Jackman, Billy Crystal and
Robin Williams. These celebs are super talented and funny. Ricky does not make the cut.

Love Ricky Gervais, best host ever; laughed all the way through. It's interesting that people are calling him arrogant and smug; they can't really know his work. He's very self deprecating, mocks himself as much as he mocks anything else. Have you see 'The Office' or 'Extras"? Brilliant.

Hell yes ! Ricky Gervais is just unmatched when it comes to hosting and I love how he makes jokes about the celebrities, it's just so funny. He's got guts !

He is not funny, rude yes but you have to have good material to go along with being rude. Richard Pryor could make fun of you and make you laugh at the same time. Robin Williams can make you laugh on just about anything, Gervais is not very good.

Just a difference of opinions, I was around when folks like Milton Berle, Jack Benny, George Burns, Henny Youngman, Rodney Dangerfield, Red Skelton, Richard Pryor, and many others were putting out Hilarious stuff. He is mediocre at best.

I love Ricky Gervais, his arrogant style of comedy superb. Extras, The Office (original please) both painfully funny. WTF. I really don't. Know why that come up NO as my choice. He is comedy genius and shows no mercy for all his willing victims of humiliation
Chosen subject. Celebrities. Excellent how he cuts them down to size as he pushes their buttons instead of kissing their asses and stroking their egos. GO RICKY .....

The best there has ever been. Sometimes people need to take themselves less seriously, and have their egos dented. Fair play to Gervais, he made Britain proud.
