The 69th Annual Golden Globes have come and gone, and unfortunately for viewers at home, they weren't nearly as nasty as last year.
Host Ricky Gervais attempted to pick up where he left off, joking that he caused Johnny Depp's career to "plummet" when he insulted his movie "The Tourist" at last year’s show. He then asked Depp if he had even seen "The Tourist" yet. The exchange was a little bit awkward, but it just didn't have the same bite the second time around.
In fact, most of the celebrities seemed to be in on the jokes -- or at least prepared for what was coming. When Gervais said Madonna was "just like a virgin," she got the last laugh: "If I'm still just like a virgin, Ricky, then why don't you come over here and do something about it? I haven't kissed a girl in a few years … on TV." Ouch!
Genitalia jokes were in full supply, with both Seth Rogen and George Clooney alluding to the male anatomy. The ladies weren't spared, but Jodie Foster was a good sport when Gervais teased her about her "Beaver." Which moment made you cringe? Gervais disses Depp ... again+27None of the above. The most awkward moment was Elton John's death-stare when he didn't win Best Song.

Also whenever the camera panned to Elton John, I couldn't help but feel bad for the old fag. I was a big fan until 1975 when I bought the Captn Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy LP. I didn't know what a brown dirt cowboy was back then.
And I'm not accusing you of being a gay-basher, that's just a really crass word.
It seemed that Rickey toned down the whole show~he was being on his best behaviour
and it wasn't working! I tuned in just for the insults!!!
Don't try to censor the man let him make nasty comments!
Shows funnier that way!~ betty white's 90th birthday party was funnier then the globes!
