Resident Evil 6 Achievements Revealed: Are You an Achievement Whore?

You!

Most gaming platforms have an achievement system these days, the biggest probably being "World of Warcraft," which is not even a platform but a "single" game. I have friends that will spend countless hours chasing achievements -- and most of these "honorary titles" don't even grant rewards. The rewards are almost always cosmetic or for bragging rights, but they chase them nonetheless.

XBOX360ACHIEVEMENTS.ORG reports:Resident Evil 6 has 50 achievements worth 1000 points. View all the achievements here

I don't do games, my achievement was mapping out the forces of the cosmos which cause earthquakes. I plan on putting out an annual publication of my predictions beginning in 2014. My nom de plume, The Scarlet Whore.

I just got the game yesterday, and I had alot of fun playing Leon's campaign. And as for the achievements? I don't care for those; I play video games for fun.

I think that's for my enjoyment too, of course, I would rather pass the game first, then kill a lot of C-Virus monsters on the mercenaries game to gain points to bouy countless weapons (like on RES 3 and 5), then pass the 3 stories (Leon, Chris, and Jake's) on Professional mode, and then, afte I do all this and don't know what else to do, I will probably consider achievements for my enjoyment..

I think you should get achievment while playing normally, not disrupt the entire game to get a stupid damn achievement

I play for fun, not for achievements. Some are cool though. Like in Red Dead Redemption when I killed El Chupacabra it gave me an achievement called "Chupathingy." I lol'd

Sorta, depends on how stupidly difficult it is.

For all true achievement whores, there is a series just for you: "Achievement Unlocked".

Not as such usually I will play a game and try to get as many as I can. Sometimes I will play thrugh again and chase achievements but eventually get fed up. Although Lego Batman 2 I chased all the achievements and 100% game completion I was successful. Could not put that game down it was simply awesome

Thankfully, I am not. I cannot simply take the time to shoot for achievements. I'm just happy for the ones I get along the way.

I'm not one, they annoy me. People who think that getting a big number next to their name means something tend to be childish, insecure or otherwise failures.

    Who me

I have been known to chase a few.......but it depends on the game. I usually start burning out around 60% - 70%.......with 120 games on my Steam account, a large PS2 collection, Emulators for all the older stuff...................too many Zombies and not enough time to kill them all.

    Dead Island
    Killing Floor
    Left 4 Dead

No since most of these new games have achievements that require DLC and online passes. Screw that. Spending $60 should be enough in my eyes. Besides I just don't have enough time for that even though I have a Platinum Trophy in Arkham City :p arkham city

Im a Trophie and Acheivement whore XD I'll admit BUT I love gaming itself far more that either I mean I've been gaming since I was 3 on the NES :D However I do Love the Trophie and Acheivement system because it gives you a little something extra to do in a game once you've been the story and everything :D

Not usually, but there are a few games where I did spend hours trying to earn all of them. Depends on the game and replay value, which most don't really have enough of for me to play over and over.

Or rather I was. Since the birth of my little girl, I haven't had much time. However, when I do play, I still go for achievements. I was finally able to put in my copy of Portal 2 a couple weeks ago (after buying it shortly after it came out) and had a fun daddy daughter day. She was very enthralled with the colours and movement.

The grinding for levels and achievements is what turned me off games like WoW very quickly.

I hear you. If I didn't play [vanilla] WoW pretty much exclusively (as in I didn't play any other games; I DID do other things lol) for almost 2 years maybe I wouldn't have such a massive backlog of GOOD games. :/

MMO's for the most part are so... pointless. The social aspect of it is fun, but not enough to make me want to forego more creative, challenging, and satisfying single player games. You grind for levels and grind for items so that you do run-through after run-through of 'harder' dungeons and raids, so you can get better items, so you can do more raids, so you can get better items etc, etc... And this was BEFORE the advent of achievements. -.-
