Reese Witherspoon Says 'Good Girls' Can Make It in Hollywood Without Sex Tapes: Is She Right?

During her acceptance speech for the Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards, Reese Witherspoon took a stand for all the "good girls" in Hollywood.

"I get it, girls, that it's cool to be a bad girl. But it is possible to make it in Hollywood without doing a reality show. When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed. And if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people!" she said in her acceptance speech. "So, for all the girls out there, it's totally possible to be a good girl. I'm going to try to make it cool."

Blake Lively was a presenter Sunday night and we wonder if this wasn't a dig to the "Gossip Girl" queen for her latest naked pix scandal.

Is Witherspoon right? Can "good girls" be "cool" in Hollywood?

i voted yes, because thats what i wish could happen. but truth is, all anybody wants to watch now are inapropriate things that usually involve a few horny girls and guys... i would say about 90% of the people in Hollywood are 'bad girls/guys'.

Reese Witherspoon is one of the few actress who can have a life without making it public,a career without blowing it up and an inspiration for young girls and boys. I love her and respect her for her charm , independence and for not being afraid to show the world who she is. All the best to you Ms.Whiterspoon.

Taylor Swift has done fine. Some people hate her because they think she's one of those Disney idiots, but I don't.

I don't really like her music and I don't consider it "Country", but she is a good girl and does seem to be fairly successful.

I don't really consider the Kim Kardashians and Paris Hiltons of the world to have "made it." They're popularity isn't based on a skill such as acting or singing or something that holds some longevity. They are the "now" girls. The girls of the minute. No one is going to care about either of them once they've aged a bit and have no more fun tricks up their sleeves.
