If you have human decency then you'd back off hearing him say that. I don't think being a public figure means you give up your right to privacy. We don't have a right to take away certain nalienble rights.

I applaud him for keeping his personal life personal. If people get in on whats happening they can manipulate the story around and create more drama and more problems. Its best to keep silent about your social life if you are a big name in the biz.

we tend to treat these talented "human beings" like fodder just because they are celebrity. that's just wrong.

There "job" exists because of the voyeuristical perspective that makes part of this country the way it is. We stop "feeding-the-machine" and there is no 'paparazzi'.

give the man some needed air to breath without cluttering his space! But he also should avoid the media for a while too if possible!

They should do their job and look further into the DC shooting, among other things.

They're doing their but he can also refuse to answer which he did. He's a movie star so he should expect his personal life is on display.

Um...highly doubt that he wants them 'to back off'. This whole thing is a publicity stunt. "Bella" finally marries "Edward" in real life? Yeah, right. Only to have it dramatically and sordidly end in an affair? Nice PR move guys. Stfu Rob, you know you want the attention

Doesn't make what they do right, but it is their job and they do it to the extreme. He seems to be very visible and if he doesn't want the attention, stay home for a while. I don't feel sorry for him, probably because I don't care for him.

But they ARE doing their job, an unwanted unneeded job, but they are doing it. Plus, they are the number one reason I would never be famous, it is kind of what you sign up for, whether you want to or not.

His personal life is not news and they don't need to be broadcasting it, especially when he doesn't want them to.

"The public has a right to know" applies to things like government cover-ups and terrorist plots, not the details of private citizens' lives, no matter how famous they might be.

I'm sorry he was betrayed, but I'm more interested in the fantasy than the fact of Robert Pattinson's life. I'm glad he has chosen not to severe a vein for the ghoulish among his fans.

This is what the media does. They should back off but they won't because they get paid from reporting on all the drama.

Of course the media should back off but that's what they do, they pry for information and when you become famous you put yourself in their sights for said information. Not saying it's right, just that it's the nature of the business.

Ok, it is the media's job to get the juiciest info on the celebrities but they just don't understand what the word "privacy" means.

He's in enough pain as it is. He doesn't need anyone else rubbing salt in his wounds and putting their nose in his business. How would THEY feel if they JUST had their heart broken and everyone is trying to feed off of you and get information.
